if you want long battery life.. go for Acer timelineX 4820TG [i5 430M + HD5470/GMA HD] - RM 2699

it can last about 8 hours..

and yet.. it is powerful and better to do your task..

there GDDR3 version too.. this come with GDDR3..

if u really concern about warranty.. then --> Acer 5943G

for overall.. Dell SXPS 16 is nice... warranty is really costly.. but its good..

Heavy gaming.. raise your budget a bit.. and go for Asus A42JV

lol.. GTA IV is intensive game -- CPU and also GPU..
A42JV really suits your need..

GT335 is high medium card.. which is , thats why i suggest go for GT335

not switch between graphic card.. but switchable graphic... as Intel GMA HD is consider accelerator..not dedicated graphic card

why you buy the Asus A42JK ..??

Why you want acer model when you have super duper other alternative choice?
Asus A42JV , i5 450M, GT335 @ RM 2799 is 'far better' than any acer model in rm3000 price range,
so far the best acer model for gaming for me, Acer 5943g, i7 740QM , HD5850, RM4799,
but still relatively behind Sager NP8690, i5 540M/i7 620M/i7 740QM , HD 5870, From RM 4900

i'm only answered the other questions..
