M301z would be better, but do note it don't have built-in dvd drive and no vga port...
Though if you don't really matter the performance, the Inspiron 14 is fine for those games as well.... |

No, its pre-built model, so no upgrade processor...
ram is already 8GB... As online fraud, well, at least the user in this thread has gotten their G73JH and usually cost around RM6K with shippings.... http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1330508 This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Jul 7 2010, 02:31 PM |

Well, if you want more power than those two and you like 13'' form factor, then yes, its worth it.

I wouldn't really call it as an upgrade though...
and whether it is a problem in mobility or not, depends on yourself, though in general 14'' would be much better since with 16'', your load could near 4KG including the power adaptor, mouse, etc.. |

Well, there's definitely an improvement, but definitely not worth the extra RM1K...
Unless you are changing to Acer 5943G/Sager NP8690, that's another story... |

The N61Ja was worth it at the past since at that time, no notebook comes with HD5730 yet, but now comes with Acer 5943G with ATi HD5850 or there's also Lenovo Y560 with ATi HD5730 + 6GB or Studio XPS 16 with HD5730 + 8GB with similar price point, the only point that N61Ja wins in its international warranty....
As well with the N82Jv, but with the arrival A42Jv, the extra RM1K for N82Jv is also simply can't justify it, if looking from price:performance side.... Acer only got 1 year traveller's international, not a full-pledged international warranty... This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Jul 8 2010, 07:22 PM |

A42Jv has almost similar specs with N82Jv, just that N82Jv has faster CPU in turbo boost and some extra instruction like AES,etc and USB 3.0, and bigger ram and hdd, but if you are looking from gaming performance, they both will perform almost similar, hence the extra RM1K for N82Jv is kinda not justified...
As from N82Jv to N61ja, might as well just overclock the GT335M and you will have the same power with HD5730 and save yourself that RM1K or spend it on SSD..... This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Jul 8 2010, 07:28 PM |

Overclocking has always risk to damage your graphic cards and also overheat.....
SSD is basically an alternative to HDD, which is shock resistance and also much much faster than HDD but also much much more expensive, it would make everything load/response quickly though not increasing any gaming performance if that's what you're looking for.... Can look around the youtube for real life testing.... |
