Just managed to root and updated to 2.1. But my keyboard layout has changed as well, how do you get back the original layout for X10 mini pro?

Posting my experience after 2 hours into root and updated to 2.1 following guides by teamlok:
1. no problem downloading universal androot and root explorer.
2. just follow the steps, fingers crossed
3. how to edit text in root explorer!!!??? Oh you have to press and hold a menu will pop up, press(touch?) edit text
4. blah blah blah, tadah! android 2.1-update 1 is running in my Mini Pro!
**my previous model number was u20a, but it changed to u20i, kernel version2.6.29, build number 2.0.A.0.504

After restart,
1. Restoring backup...
2. AHH!!! Where are my apps!!?? Have to install back one by one...
3. At first messages got problem, the latest one appeared at the bottom instead of the top, after a restart back to normal
4. Then comes the keyboard, PM teamlok, he immediately posted the updated guide with how to change your keyboard layout (Important if you're Mini Pro like mine, my period/fullstop becomes letter "A" with halo ontop...|||
5. Not sure if this is related, but during charging my touchscreen went erratic, keep pressing/touch at the bottom left corner (default position for dial pad), have to yank my battery out for a restart, then it's stable again.
6. Toying with 2.1, feels faster, smoother. No games to try out yet, will update tmr when I get to install all my apps.
7. My menu isn't arranged as what SE said, mine still 3X3 like in 1.6. Hmm...

That's all folks! Tell me where I went wrong and thanks to teamlok for his immediate response and very helpful and not forgetting his idiot proof guide.

@SHark I think it works, as they are both identical. But I think u can go to SE's offical website, the update's available now.

**a suggestion for TS, compile a list of Mini and Mini pro owners, post whatever links and guides at the first page for easy references.

Yes, resolution is not big deal. My experience with the apps so far been great. Running Angry Birds just fine.

ANyway, teamlok, after updated to 2.1 I can't use UR to root my phone anymore, hence I can't change anything about the keyboard using RE too. Any solution/getaround?

Ok, my backup restore works fine. Just some minor glitch. After restoreing my phonebook, my contacts don't show straight away, so I have to go to Option>contact to view>Phone contact>choose option>phone contact or whatever you want, then TADAH! All the contacts are there!

BTW to answer your Q, yup, have to root first then update. Or you can just wait. Have you go to SE official site?
