updating to 2.1



btw who wan to do this is easy

u need to download universal androot 1.6.2 beta 5 and root explorer(link below)

first root u phone after that .. open root explorer

and go to system folder and top of that click mounted r/w

after that find a file name build and press it and got edit text and edit

find

ro.build.fingerprint=SEMC/U20i_
ro.semc.version.cust=
ro.product.name=U20i_


at the end of the text got number like 1234-XXXX

change it to (1238-8536) for Mini Pro (1238-0549) for mini after that save and reboot

and connect the phone to pc and open pc companion

and if u keyboard changed u need to root back using superoneclick and use root explorer back to edit Guide below

keyboard layout just edit the file "keyprint.xml" in system/usr/keyboard-config.

for english keyboard you have to change:

<script name="latin" keylayout="qwerty-en" /> to <script name="latin" keylayout="qwerty-en" />

(en is the change)

for the others i think there is a file where you can see, but i can't remember which one.

just change the text in red color

Updated mine to 2.1 . Can say kinda smoother than 1.6 about 10 - 15%. Using LauncherPro now as my homescreen. Will upload the shots later

how about battery performence after update?

flash to nordic set. just to try the 2.1 update lol ... as for battery performance will update later ... need to actually use the phone the whole day then can only judge. but so far so good.
