just sent for 30k service last week. car just 1 year n 1 month old. guess will hit 80 before 3 years haha

yeah the 80k major service really hurts the pocket lol..

to be honest if service outside, the total cost will be about the same.. maybe can only save a few ringgits.. i decided to change the timing belt at proton sc coz if there is any problem can always go back to them.. plus the extended warranty is still on..

because 16-bit obselete already so proton is very kind to double up the power for you

How much did that cost you ..

goin for a 25K end of next week just to get prepared..

havent ask the SC yet .. just askin you first so that can compare later

god! anyone got solution what happen to my car?

i off the car, let behind my gf on the car while i goin to bank for 5 minute, once i done all, i notice the aircond is running but not cold like b4!!, afterward, i switch my gear to "R", the car doesnt move!! then i notice, my car engine was turn off totally, but the aircond is still remain on...oh my god! guess wat, i knw my car unable to start anymore, cus the car totally dries up the battery!!so i immediately call my friend for help, jump-start several time, using kelisa, estima but still unable to start, when i ask the car workshop, it say the new car which got immobilizer chipset was lock ur engine, he asking me to tow back to proton service center to unlock the immobilizer and set the data back ...

this tat true? i know the car cant not change the battery when ur car is not running cus it will cause the car memory goin back default and nid to set it back at proton! so after jumpstart failed, i change another battery, but still unable to start ... pls help

Stupid la. I just sent my PE for 1k service. The guy quoted me RM234 for normal service stuff like oil change, oil filter, screenwash etc. -.- Did in puchong branch btw.

Okay..

From my owning a PE for 3 months.

I got few problems from this car.

1. Aircond sometimes very hot... (compressor doesn't want to run)
2. Wiper failure (stuck at the middle of the windscreen) when cruising 120kmh in highway. (Causing one of the wiper doesn't spin, i fix it myself already so far no problem now)

i also service my PE at puchong, RM 112 only...

mind to list out the items in your bill ?

workshop quoted me about 200++ including repair the dent near my door handle..argh..
need to spray the whole panel


wow..then you need change with quadcore cable aswell..more powahh

i lost my word. nearly same with insurance cover..
btw, my daring card never renew but still, from my bill, discount is still there?

i thought persona dint get CAPTOR instead proton replacing it with GPS

u know, after using kelisa for jump-start, later, my friend kelisa was unable to start the car after he send be back to my house, at the end, he use my car battery for jump-start which i already unplug from my car body to test up, and relief it was able to start with the battery alone ~
lesson~ persona really use alot of energy to start the car~ so, if someone face the same problem like me ( battery dry, not totally dries up) better use high CC car for jump-start

gonna update after my friend ( who is auto specialist) inspection my car~

Added on July 27, 2010, 11:05 ami goin to genting with my persona for several time alrdy, indeed it safe, but dont pickup on the corner, and when goin down, usually no nid to press the pedal to move it, it will goin down itself all the way, like wat i do~ from the first world hotel, i just pull my gear to Neutral, and the car move alone, getting 50-80km/h without pressing the gas pedal unless, when it hike ~

dunno if elegance same brake system like 1st model but with stock pad its good but need to practice your foot to familiar the persona respond (very soft braking) goes to Gerik, Cameron, Fraser's Hill, its good.
but need to monitor if any vibration/sound during braking..

this quite scaring me..im using stock battery at 2years++..
so far ok

what u mean is it safe? u think bcz its proton sure it not safe?
last time i go to cameroon with really sharp corner! the pickup really good, i just put "D" only and smooth follow volvo s40 front of me ,
after go home i really dont need to use brake, persona engine brake really respond, i just brake once got car in front of me, others braking engine will do.
