6.5 inch up front.

I just added (i am b line owner) 6.5 inch components with tweeters on the dashboard sides, stock rear speakers and added a nice powerful pounding 12 inch sub driven by amplifier at the back. You need a ring bracket screwed to the hole then baru u screw ur new speakers on it. It sits better. Oh, make sure the "roof" for the speaker's butt is installed or else everytime wash car or rains, ur speaker's butt is wetted and rosak faster. The amplifier only drives the subwoofer. The rest is driven by the player. With proper sound setting at the player and amplifier.......its all pretty nice. Oh... Fader adjust more to the front. In my setup, Bass set at -1/-2 or sometimes 0 or +1 depending on the music being played. Treble set at +3 and fader at F3. Sweet.

NSX: Thanks for correcting me. Anyways, having the bracket is also better because the speakers can be mounted better and more secure. Drilling of the holes is for the bracket screws.

new car will always have that "burnt" smell. it will go away after a while. no worries. its because of the new coating of undercoating paints that is under ur car........ which most of the time, is around the exhaust systems as well, new seals around the engine....... iyah nothing wan la......

once its seasoned.... no smell.

honestly speaking, Proton did improve a lot starting with the Persona. Fittings are more properly made, plastic panels like door panels, pillar trims, boot trims, floors are all fully padded and the car is far more solid than all previous models before it. Ever since the Persona, u will see better improvement on gen2, waja, exora.

mind u, i was a anti proton guy ever since the start of the 2nd batch of wiras many moons ago. back then i would curse Proton to hell but i never thought i would be owning one today! Actually it all started with my curiosity of the Persona one day when i was damn f***ing bored at home. Wanting a sedan to replace my myvi back then but do not want to spend so much for a car (for now). test drive it, checked the price..... wtf man.... comon... almost same price with myvi and with far better built and quality??? my heart was instantaneously bought over. With this price range of a proper sedan....... what is there more to ask?! Yea sure, it does have its own problems here and there. But so far, based on my experience, none is as bad as my ex 2006 MyVi (A)!!!!!!! Not even close.

for me, number one factor is $$$$$. Few cars i was eyeing on:-

For new
1. City
2. Altis
3. Forte

For used
1. Used BMW 3 series E46 model
2. Used Vios first model
3. Used City

But all when comes to monthly installment... its a bit too much per month. Unless i dump in more deposits which i do not have. I wish to drive a E46 BMW though....... sigh....... so near yet so far.

It's ok........ the time will come when i drive one...... one day. Soon.

my headlamp actually kena already just a hard rub causing a small little chip off the lens at the very edge. No cracks or holes though and barely noticeable. a little more harder would have caused it to crack though. sigh P drivers. no comment. all i can say is LACK OF EXPERIENCE.

Added on July 31, 2010, 11:29 ambtw i now realised how much difference between a non iafm and iafm campro engine feels and drives like. its totally different. i just tested one non iafm unit and comparing it to my daily ride iafm unit. Both auto and stock specs. Both Persona. comparing 2008 model and my 2009 model.

1. non iafm pickup is much slower and sluggish
2. more delay from the drive by wire
3. less responsive from engine
4. less torque overall and most noticeable at low rpm
5. louder engine tone at certain rpm.
6. at standstill, once i floor it, the engine response is slow, rpm climbs up slower, barely wheel spin and much lower torque is felt.

Seems that on paper the specs is not accurate. Since the performance between both iafm and non iafm engine is totally different.

Now i wonder how CPS units feels like.....hummmm.....

1. the foldable seat hook noise. some said using tape or something to pad it then it will be alright.
2. the shock absorber poly stopper at the top squeak can be solve by use of silicone spray / grease.

No. B-Line models cannot fold.
crap increase interest?! walau. faster lo try appeal to ur loan officer to hold onto the old interest rate. seems small and makes a big difference in long term loan periods.

- ok this seems to be on random with B line owners. i am one of the b line owners here. i got this problem also that time. well, it is the stupid drum design fault. believe it or not. i was with the mech solving it at the SC whole morning. the problem lays with the one portion of the backing plate acting as a slider pad for the drum brake pads to slide on and apparently has bumps an grooves on it. so it makes the operation noisy. i asked them to modify it but it seems impossible due to the design of the bumps and grooves. u just have to live with it. it is either u upgrade to disc brakes at the rear at the same time if u do so, u need to replace the master pump to either gen2 1.6 or persona 1.6 (H Line) master pump because the current master pump in b line and m line is using 1.3 pumps.

OR

send to a knowledgeable workshop to mod the backing plate by grinding off the grooves / bumps at the sliding pad area and reweld a flat smooth plate on it. that will do the trick. i didn't do mine yet.
try going further up the mileage and observe. it should change for the better.
