Am pretty sure got complaint last year from the locals for some kind of party /festival...in d end d event got cancelled if im not mistaken

Just back from Pulau Perhentian 4D3N with Perhentian Kravers packages worth RM600/pax at Shari La. Let me share with you the journey of this packages.

Date departure : 29 April - 2 MAY 2017
total PAX : 3

Day 1 (29 April)

We arrive at the Jetty around ~10am.
Mis X wassap the team. cuz they said once u arrive. need to inform them.
around ~11 am. baru reply wassap. And ask to wait some more. so we wait.
12pm over ask to go direct to Jetty Departure.

Mr Amirul dgn slumber said...
"hai Ms X..saya amirul, sory2..hahhahah terlepas pandang lak group ni. Sbb ramai sgt org".

Then he ask to wait some more. saying the boat will be there SOON.
Tgu punya tgu...jam 1 lebih baru depart dik weh.. orang lain dtg lambat semua naik boat dah. Kami ni kira sisa terakhir yg naik boat.
Almost 3 hours waiting , we decide today to do our own activity.

Arrive at Shari La room number 309 ( the far far farrr away rooms)
No wifi, Digi no line, maxis also, telekom telephone also no line. TV also no signal, like you are watching 70's tv with a lots of dots due to poor signal.
No water provided, no towel ( request a towel at 2pm , towel dpt jam 6 pm). No tooth brush. Hot shower yes, include soap n shampoo sachet.
Power trip is normal.



Day 2 (30 April) (5 Pulau) SNORKELING

As per wassap reference, they said need to be at waiting area BY 10 AM, late comers kena tinggal.
As they said the boat is leaving at 10.30 am.
Hari ni memey ramai ore blaka ar. Persatu satu boat depart.
Priority dapat ke group yg ramai (10 org ke atas), Grp kami 3 eko jaaa.. makanye..tgu sampai mereput kat pantai tu.
Jam 11 lebih masih menunggu.

We ask the boat man ABG MAT (long hair) :

Me : Bang lama lagi ke nak tgu?
ABG MAT : "Brape lama g xtau la. 1 jam ke dua jam ke. xtau g. tgu je laaa. Rmai g org tgu ni" nada keras.
Me : Saya nak cancel. buat esok je. lama sgt tgu da ni.
ABG MAT : esok x leh, esok full.

Makanye dia pon menyumbat kami ke boat yg mana boleh disumbat. Dekat 20 org dlm satu boat (include semua)

Guider ABG JOJIE
Boatman: Ntah sapa, tanye name xnak bg tau
Janji akan tetap pergi semua check point walaupun lambat bertolak.

Smpai check point Pulau pertama : NO SNORKEL AT ALL FOR ALL OF US.
Mula2 kata all equipment ada. Akan ada boat hanta ke kami. Last2 xde.

Pulau Kedua (tgk Penyu) :masih xde snorkel. guider ABG JOJIE dgn slumber kata : Ala nanti penyu akan naik korang jgn risau.
Yg Best nye si JOJIE Ni, sampai je kat Pulau2 ...dia org pertama hilang.
Maka nye tinggal la kami terpinga pinga mencari penyu , ikan, coral sendri. Memang BEST Belaka Guider kita kali ni!

Bila tanye dia ade ke penyu ni?
Abg JOJIE : ade 2 eko sana and sana ( takat tunjuk pakai jari je)
Alih nye kami nampak cengkerang belakang Penyu jer, nun jauh di sana.

Saya ulang ...xde snorkel ye kawan2.

Lepas makan tghari. Kami beli sendri google. Sbb rase mcm snorkeling ni sia2 jer. sbb xder peralatan.

Pulau ke tiga (Menara API / Manara Tinjau /Menara tgh laut natang gapo nama dia ni aku lupa dah)
Angin agak Kuat. Boat kami parking agak jauh. maka nye kne berenang sendri ke sana.
THey manage to provide us the SNORKEL. FINALLY!!
Me and all my friend dont know how to swim. Takat swim mcm katak jer.
Sedang we all struggle swim to the Menara.. ABG JOJIE dtg menhulurkan bantuan...tp bukan pada kami...pada AWEK TEAM LAIN. kuang kuang kuang....
maka terkapai2 ku dlm laut. punah harapan nak panjat MENARA.. balik ke boat dgn keciwa. hebat dak pantun ku ini. haa...

This point is ok. A lots of NEMO and beautiful coral. Belakang SHari LA je tmpt nye.

Pulau Ke 5 (SHark POINT)

Kesimpulan :
We are not satisfied with this trip at all. All of us paying for PERHENTIAN KRAVERS at least RM400-600 per pax for this trip. N this is how they treat us?
EN MOODY (owner katanye) Duit mu amik awal2.. tapi x turun ke pulau. DOK kat KL x tau buat ape, Janji mu PALSU BELAKA. Lepaskan tangan ke anak2 buah hingusan buat kerja.

MALAM :

Juadah hidangan dia :
1 pingan nasi Goreng
1 Pingan Bihun goreng
1 pingan isi ikan bakar (sbalh bahagian rasenye, 2 eko sotong, dan sebahagian ayam bakar)
Air sirap 1 jug buah tembikai sepingan.

Me: Kalo la saya seekor Buffalo, ku rodok2 si NUS ni. Cara mcm ni tanya customer?? Molek skit mek weyh.. client mu ni bayo kat mu service.. bukan x bayo pitih... panas boh..

We explain all the terrible services to the team. Ask for refund.
They refuse to refund. But give us repeat the snorkeling trip for the next day with ABG MAT itself ( known as best boatman here..they said). And promise to guide us to the Windmill.

At the end of conversation, NUS admit today trip so many people almost 200 over From Perhentian Kravers SAHAJA ( not include others travel agent lagi ). Dan menyebabkan mereka TERPAKSA mengabil BOATMAN lain dr ntah mana2 ceruk benua. Maka sbb itu, xde SNORKEL. dan keadaan Huru Hara.
Maaf diterima.



DAY 3 .
Repeat trip. but i go for 3 point only. Cuz dont want to waste time. And Must return to Hotel ASAP. for WINDMILL tracking.
It suppose ABG MAT bring me today BUT...again JANJI PALSU MU.. abg Mat have another more important GUEST to entertain FIZ* OMar.. takat nak entertain artis rupenye, makanya follow boatman lain. Punah lagi harapan.

This time HAFIS really keep his promises. Good Services, take photo, parking boat pun dekat2 kawasan cantik. X macam semalam. parking boat jauh2 atas alasan kawasan penuh. Today trip was ok. satified with HAFIS and the BOATMAN WAN if im not mistaken.

Until la tetiba ABG MAT dtg park sblah boat kami dgn artis yg disanjung2 nya ckp:
Abg Mat : We only cant sent u back home after lunch, Xkan kite nak buang minyak anta awak sorang. rugi kami..
Me k fine we tolerate.

Me : Kena sedass dua.
Boatman: xpe la da amik. jgn la mara..

Malu giler la diperlakukan begini. Tempat makan tu mcm bilik, kire semua org leh dgr waktu tu.

And FYI, today trip x ramai org. RELAX giler. Si boatman abg mat kata penuh, tapi semua pulau x ramai org. boleh snorkel dgn relax. ALASAN penuh trip itu adalah tidak munasabah! dlm kata lain MENIPU JE kerja ko MAT..

Anyways, try to avoid Perhentian on Labour Day, tahun lepas pun banyak juga customer complaint on the same date. Dua tahun lepas pun sama.

Labour day is super peak season in Perhentian and Operators took this advantage to maximum their profit. Equipment tak cukup, kudrat tak cukup pun ambil lagi orang. Poor those yang couldnt really experience the real Perhentian.

Saya rasa mungkin perangai diorang akan baik sikit kalau bukan peak season. Mungkin diorang tengah geram dengan boss yang main ambil je orang ramai-ramai without considering those yang buat kerja. Alih-alih customer jadi mangsa. But that is not a reason to be rude to not just customer, but anyone pun.

how much is the snorkelling package?? and any good food around pulau kecil?

Gonna travel next week but still havent final my booking for resort

1. Perhentian Island Resort
2. Alunan Resort
3. TunaBay

a. Which do you all prefer? Looking for chillax and relax but abit of entertainment if possible.

2. Will Alunan be diificult to find other foods? Because its not fullboard. Cant be eating same stuff at the resort


* Came back from 4d3n stay in Alunan.
The experience we have in alunan is superb. The place is quiet and relaxing. Warning for those looking for partying or more happening place, this is not the right place. Also for those with toddlers or elders, also not recommended as the rooms are located along a very steep hill path.

As for room, its very clean and comfortable. Each of the room got its own sundeck on top for chilling (good for tanning)
The only problem is food. The food is just average. There are no other alternative eateries unless you hike 1hr towards long beach or 30mins towards the fishing village next door.

The beach is good for snorkeling but you need swim a distance away. Occasionally there are baby sharks feeding over small group of fishes. Resort is nice to provide "booties" to wear for rocks and dead corals while snorkeling.

and wat about the snorkelling package at this moment? any good deal? going next week

For the path is just slight hike. Abit of slopes with constructed path. Not encourage to walk/hike during night time. Mosquito repellant highly needed.

For Alunan Resort they don't provide packages. It's all based per night stay (as of the time I went) but they have a dive center. They have some nice full day and half day or even short snorkeling trips from rm60 onwards

hey, im planning a perhentian trip 3D2N from 29-Sept to 1-Oct.

Currently am considering either:
1. Take perhentian packages (but so many packages, which one is worth it??)
2. Book resort from Agoda and settle others manually there

Which one is recommended?

Recommended to take Perhentian Package ,you can choose other island too like Susu Dara Island and Rawa Island. This island only take 30 minutes boat ride from Perhentian Island. Normally the package will include accommodation,meals,boat transfer and snorkeling trips. Its much more easy rather you make manually as you need to think next step to do.. You can choose any accommodation at Perhentian island. Well to many choice but depend on your budget.

I went to the best snorkelling spot at Perhentian Besar. I think this is the "secret snorkel" place where only the locals know.

The spot i went was so much better then rawa or susu dara and it was just the 2 of us snorkeling there. For me that is the best spot to snorkel around perhentian, redang, tioman as there are lots of corals there are still in pristine condition. This place also has a small beach to chill.

Should be monsoon season that time and most of the resorts should be closed.

I actually took the package to rawa island, we were on our way there but the sea was rough and wife starting to get seasick. So the boatman suggested we go to another place he said as good as rawa island but near so i was ok and he turned the boat around. He did not tell me the name but it was not the popular ones in Perhentian. I can see people snorkeling at the usual sites but the spot i went to was completely empty. Ive been to rawa before but this place is much much better.

Any latest package for april 2018?
