Is there any shuttle van to kuala besut jetty from kuala terengganu airport?

I saw people posted taxi charge around rm110 per way, would like to find cheaper option.

Should have book flight to kota bahru instead, just found out this info when I look for perhentian package.

Hi friends,
Just checking if anyone had done something similar and has some recommendation. Basic plan is to stay at camp, something like this Hutan camping, somewhere between 10-14 days. I'm not a diver, just looking for some good quiet time, prob read a book, some light snorkeling, and just generally hanging around, walking the island.

Just need a few things to sort out:
a) taking a bus - any travel agency I can hookup with?
b) flight - easier?
c) things to be concerned with?
d) If you guys got any local contact over there, you can recommend

My apologies if this sounds a bit amaturish, would have been easier going to Tokyo, Taiwan, or HK. Anyway, thanks for your help.

Just go to Kuala Besut, either by bus direct, or by plane to Kota Bharu + teksi/grab.
From Kuala besut you take speedboat. They usually land at Coral beach jetty. You will either have to ask them to make a stop in Orang Hutan camping area, or arrange for another boat from Coral beach.

I would consider a room or chalet in Long beach instead. But it's up to you.

So, I am planning for a short 4 Day getaway in Perhentian with my family (me + wife + kids (11yrs &5 years)
Did some research, most packages are hotel or hotel+snorkeling.
Looking at the itineraries it seems most are island hopping snorkelling which maybe too packed for my kids.
So, one option is for me just to bring them snorkel around the beach, I have heard Pasir Panjang & or Coral bay seems to be okay options.
I guess this doesn't require me to get engaged with any snorkel operators and I can just bring my family as long as we have necessary gear which I was thinking of getting at decathalon.
Is there much to see at these location, or are the corals dead?

How much is daily rental for this gear?

What are your experiences with brining kids for the snorkel trips?
Anybody can share if the trip is too packaged for kids?
