QUOTE(a890871 @ May 24 2010, 12:53 AM) Your question is so open-ended...Maybe you could specify more on what some other forumers mentioned earlier on your criteria. Each one of us could be owning different types of players. |

For that price, you might wanna consider:-
- Mede8er MED500X (RM500++) - TViX HD N1 Cafe (RM499) - AC Ryan POHD (My preference in sequence for that 600+ budget). Just my opinion. This post has been edited by RayKazansky: May 24 2010, 10:51 PM |

QUOTE(SandStoneWater @ May 25 2010, 05:25 AM) hi all, permit me to tumpang thread also In this case, I would suggest Popcorn Hour C-200.been sourcing around for a media player but just cudnt decide on which is the best one that'll suit me.... i'll use the questionnaire posted by mpyw earlier... 1. Do you need bitstream lossless HD-audio? --> Yes Don't talk about other features, if you really require the two features above , your options are more or less limited to player with Sigma 8642 chips like the HDX BD1 (around RM900 without HDD) or the Dune 3.0 (Higher Price). Or maybe you could wait another month or two to see what Realtek new Chips have to offer. And not forgetting the Popcorn Hour C200 as suggested by Raykazansky, but I am not sure about the full specs. If I am not mistaken it also uses the Sigma 864* series chip so features should be similar with the Sigma 8642. I thnk I also recall someone advertising for sale recently, not sure if bulk sale. I am not really sure if Popcorn C200 really being sold here, I might be mistaken.
But BD1 and Dune 3.0 can be bought locally. Search out the Lowyat.net sales section. Also for feedback on the two players, refer to the threads opened in this Home Entertainmant section. Generally the BD1 is cheaper but it lacks a mature Firmware. The Dune 3.0 is more mature but you also have to pay a higher price. The Dune 3.0 has 2 models. The higher Prime model is around RM1.5K or less (don't know the exact current price now) but it has a built-in Blu-ray drive included. This post has been edited by Ngto: May 25 2010, 10:00 AM |
