I personally own a panasonic P42x10 because i was able to find a shop showing astro SD channels in various LCD/Plasma they have. And i found out that the LCD they have(Sharp, Toshiba) tends to produce pictures which are pixelized and blocky. As for the plasma, it shows a much smoother picture which are easier on the eyes.
While u were at those shopping centers comparing LCD and Plasma, you will notice that Plasma lacked brightness and contrast which makes them looked dull compared to LCDs. That's true.
But upon reaching home at night, I open my tv and watch Roland Garros tennis HD(Channel 831) with my Plasma and honestly speaking, everything looked beautiful, colors are rich, details are sharp, contrast and brightness are well balanced, not too bright not too dark..no complain at all.
I've also tested an Avatar trailer downloaded from apple's website using my AC Ryan media player and it looked fabulous without any noticeable jaggies or blocky pixels.
As for the screen reflection issue, its abit annoying but as long as its not facing a background which is overly lit(directly facing windows or light source), it should not be a big problem.
i planing buy lcd of plasma come in help me ...., [LCD of plasma] i watch astro only
