I found a source froyo 2.2 for motorola droid.. you guys think it will work with Milestone too? If yes.. I'm gonna to try it

But referring to motorola forum, they said yes Droid already get the 2.2 update, but Milestone not yet. Any comment?

I think Google doesn't want to alienate it's partners by officially sanctioning one particular phone. If Google chose HTC to produce Nexus2, other companies will feel they're being biased. Any official sanctioned Google phone will gain lots of interest and publicity.

That's strange. I was on Paul Modaco R20 and then R21 ; the message keep asking me to update to 2.2 . Itnever stop - quite irritating. It comes practically every hour. Now trying to find a way to disable it. Of course since my phone is rooted and on custom rom, the OTA upgrade will not work

I have been tinkering with the various versions of customized Froyo from FRF50 to 72, 83, 85B and final FRF91 - I could see the same issue across. Anyway I overcome this setback by using Paul Modaco ( my favourite) as I could bake the rom on his online kitchen and select all apps installed to SD. It is working very well since ver 1.9. Other cooks would want you to force apps to SD thro settings in Applications or using Terminal to push commands thro. I find the latter option of using Terminal is better as on Froyo 2.2 some apps on SD will not appear on menu if you force it through using options in Applications

the another reason is they think with the new UI from the gingerbread, it dont need any other UI(motoblur,sense,touchwiz,etc) to replace it..so that means the vanilla UI already nice enough and they dun need to produce another nexus two to promote their UI

Hey Sifu... i am facing a problem updating it Froyo...

My current build is EPE54B with CM 5.0.6

I enter recovery mode -> flash zip from sdcard -> update.zip

I had tried both EPE54B to EPE85B and the universal to EPE85B

both giving me the same error as below:

E:No signature (575 files)
E: Verification Failed

Installation aborted.

What could be the possible problem ?

bro, u have custom recovery (amon-ra?) the official google update wont work with custom recovery..

yes flash it. You cannot update if you're on a custom recovery ROM as mentioned by allenlyk up there.

CM6 is a FroYo ROM by Cyanogen. It's 'full of awesome' but it is not final yet. So there are some unstability issues there.

Been running CM6 in my hero since its released...so far so good...only camera issue remains...but not problem for me...
Im so impressed with the battery life..mine can last long for 3 days...i would said better than all the Eclair rom (official & custom) i've tried.

This is a paid version. Use MarketAcess to enable access to paid apps. Download it using Market. Is cheap only US 1.99.

Now we just have to wait and hear from Samsung when the other versions will be getting their own updates.".

If available you can upgrade it . It is a Over the Air download to your phone. Unconfirmed sources last week Asian units will get it between Oct and December
