I have met one KDN supervisor last year at LCCT and he told me to prepare a letter with his authorised signature and when i order stuff from Amazon and if parcel kena tahan, just produce the letter to officer - sure lepas... but I don't really need it bcoz my order always very itsy bitsy or won't have suggestive contents that will swiftly passed Ketam/KDN spotchecks

I don't have the power letter la because I told the supervisor I don't really need it... so I never do it and he never sign one.

He oso told me that when the officers conduct a random spotcheck on a parcel, they just open and take a glimpse only... they don't really open the vacuum packed and look in detail inside. It's only formality that they open a few at random. At least that's what he told me lar... he might be lying oso

Soon or later, the priority shipping , exclusive shipping or watever super shipping method also gonna be in the check as well..

Waste money getting priority shipping when we know its somehow gonna get seized. Better use normal shipping , and claim lost from AMZ etc..

Btw, 6am i was at work, i work during night only..3rd Level Engineers work odd hours..

Actually priorty shipping etc also same as standard shipping, subject to Customs inspection, if their want. There is nothing in laws or regulations of Malaysia stated, priority shipping etc are excluded from inspection from Customs.

My very own personal experience with priority shipping: indeed it got here in 4 days. No doubt about it. But then UPS declared the item for me. So kena KDN, n tax. Troy BD confiscated. Lol

If not because my order exceeded 1k, I also won't take the priority shipping. In the end, almost 2 weeks only I got my parcel, delivered by them superb UPS van. Yahoo for them. Ended up paying 15% tax + handling fee to pay UPS. I SWORE to myself to never use priority shipping again. My experience la this. but ever since then, parcel never exceed rm500. Scared already.
