You guys think unlocking processor is a mandatory thing.

To be honest, it is based on luck, you should select processors for your current usage, if it is able to unlock/overclock etc. Consider it a bonus.

suggest you try to unlock the cores 1 by 1. could be that 3rd core faulty but 4th core is fine or vice versa.

same thing happen to me on my X2 550 BE. i tried unlocking both extra cores and was unsuccesful.
tried unlocking 1 by 1 and isolated the faulty core. end up with a triple core.

Even though not able to get 4 cores active, was able to OC to 3.6Ghz. Very impressed.

update bios 1st & then try..just share some of my experience, my 1st unlock is very2 unstable, sometime wont boot, freeze, black screen, if can boot to window then after restart it happen again..i almost give up & realize that i hv a bad core, but 1 day after i make some research in google, i try to enable acc, set per core then play with % value, i try so many combination until woaa i can boot up to window, open cpu z & i got 4 cores with 6MB L3 cache..then i go back to bios set acc to 4 core operational & until now i got stable unlock, no need to play with % value anymore thumbup.gif
