suggest you try to unlock the cores 1 by 1. could be that 3rd core faulty but 4th core is fine or vice versa. we hv same mobo bro, 1205 is good enough for me to unlock my processor

same thing happen to me on my X2 550 BE. i tried unlocking both extra cores and was unsuccesful.
tried unlocking 1 by 1 and isolated the faulty core. end up with a triple core.
Even though not able to get 4 cores active, was able to OC to 3.6Ghz. Very impressed.
