QUOTE(mcmicheal @ Jun 17 2010, 12:00 AM) Guys... anyone here using Phottix BP-D60 for D3000? viewfinder will drain battery? Planning to get 1, cuz my last finger cant grip the camera. (hands too big) lol... Another thing i discover is... the viewfinder is constantly draining the battery! Or you mean the LCD when you setting up the shutter etc it drains battery? |

QUOTE(General_Nic @ Jun 20 2010, 11:58 AM) must try learn use manual WB, dunno is jz D5000 or Nikon, tends to be warm in WB 1 Not only d5000, d40, d90, most nikons (not sure about the FF series) tend to be warm in WB. In case I'm not sure which WB to use, I'll just shoot in RAW~unless u shoot in RAW then auto all d way, after dat fix in photoshop PG still cheaper than most lenses mah~ |

QUOTE(~funeralofheart~ @ Jun 20 2010, 10:50 PM) I would say okay for RM1.2k... Normally low shutter count would be around rm1.4~1.5k.Oh yea one more good thing about d60, its lens has VR. Before u pay make sure the outer look of the camera is good, no serious scratches or dent (might have dropped before), no fungus/serious dust inside the lens etc... and make sure it's nikon malaysia warranty (look at warranty card). if grey set there's no nikon malaysia and not worth the price. |

If he's buying d40/d60 kit, then d60 better because the lens is VR lens ^^ |

QUOTE(~funeralofheart~ @ Jun 20 2010, 11:14 PM) Yea D40 is a very good entry level dslr... it's quite a basic one without too many functions but served me very well. |

QUOTE(fcuk90 @ Jun 20 2010, 11:23 PM) d60 is a little bit slower than d3000 , like processing the image after snap shoot . Yea quite slow, dunno is memory card prob or not, after shooting need 1~2 sec only can view the photo, but in my D40 and D90 no such issue. But that's my fren's d60 im not sure about that.and the lcd is slower too . used my friend d60 before. QUOTE(~funeralofheart~ @ Jun 20 2010, 11:23 PM) Yea Rm1.2k is okay, but must confirm it's in good condition and under nikon malaysia. |

QUOTE(pornstar @ Jun 21 2010, 10:25 PM) Hi guys, Im getting a D40 soon 2nd hand. Comes with the 18-55 kit lens. Im looking to get myself another lens and have the following choices of lenses: Get only the D40 + kit lens, and maybe a SB600 or Di622 flash. Don't get any extra lens before you really know what you need. You might think you need a 55-200mm or so but in the end do you really use/need it? Play with kit lens for few months and sooner or later you'll realise what you need. I hope you don't realise you need a fast lens because the poison is too strong to endure XDAF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED I also plan to get the speedlight sb-400 (small i know). My knowledge as a noob in photography says that the 35mm has good night shots capabilities and a ver fast focusing lens? My question is that which lens should i pour my hard earned cash into. |

@ongdandy
most of your photos (pudu jail series) have overblown sky, totally can't see the sky. Hmm and pic #4 is not good, despite the motion blur on the people, they are also distracting and can't make your photo appears to be more attractive and... need more improvement in framing and WB. no hard feelings and yea, red is too saturated. |

QUOTE(~funeralofheart~ @ Jun 23 2010, 10:21 PM) tq all Definitely D3000. 1000D to me is like the most most entry level dslr and the build quality is very plasticky, not to mention the weird toy shutter sound... And we're nikonians here, surely will recommend you to join us as we like nikon's build quality, IQ, body, lenses and the COLOR!erkhhh im beginner in this new hobby someone offer me used 1 month d3000 (rm 1.4k) used canon eos 1000d ,used sround 1.5years (rm1.2k) should i go to nikon? 1.2k for 1.5 year-old 1000D is a bit over for me, I would get D3000 anytime. New D3000 around 1.7k This post has been edited by zellleonhart: Jun 23 2010, 10:37 PM |
