rm599 is a normal retail price la..try searching the pamplets in lowyat.net n u can find that the acer s231hl costs only rm599..
if u want,try waiting for the pc fair la..but i'm not sure whether can get lower price or not..huhuh..
i'm planning to get one of this also..but still in consideration of other monitors which uses the ips panel instead of tn..



if i'm not mistaken,this is the price for the one without the hdmi port..
the same model with the hdmi port costs, if not mistaken, arnd rm100/rm150 more..

ppl are really talking about the dell u2311h..
it uses the IPS panel and is not "that" expensive..
i recommend this based on user reviews,ratings and experiences shared by users here..

the main point here is what panel it uses..the acer s231hl,eventho it uses led backlight, it still uses the old TN panel..ppl say there is much difference between this tho types of panel (TN and IPS)
like the u2311h uses the IPS panel that delivers better color quality and sharper pictures..
this monitor u can get at dell website for rm669..there is a way to get the discount though (if not the price is rm729)
search for earlier posts in this thread n u can see how..

ur eyes cant really see difference below 16ms..
unless u have sharingan eyes..

and there's also more connectivity ports..
and one of the main points i think is the resolution..

mostly because of the panes..
the ST2321L uses TN panel and the U2311H uses IPS panel..
major difference..
