Like say before, No much people can notice the difference IPS and TN display color. Same go to this issue. You may have this issue, but you didn't/can't notice it. But some people will notice while that is important part for him.

hianboy, How about ask they change to 2209WA if you don mind. Btw saw your complain at Dell,

QUOTE
As long as the exact center point of any monitor meets x=0.313 and y=0.329 (6500K), it meets our specifications to the manufacturer. Dell does not have a "whole display" chromaticity uniformity specification. So, the center point may be 6500K, but the sides and corners may not.

I hate this answer. t(>.<t)

1) analog & digital inputs. 2 slot. for 2 difference cable. Vga cable(blue) and DVI cable (white) for your information DVI cable is better, it use on digital input

2) Response time from wikipedia explain Clickbasically under 6 or 8ms should be no problem for human eyes

3) dynamic contrast. 50k,1m,5m, now is mega(overblow? tongue.gif ). you try go samsung website view their LCD advertisement should be understand what they talking about. color special effect...亮晶晶 or what what de. Doesn't matter for me anyway. 1m 5m like too overstate. now latest lcd from samsung already give up using this funny advertisement. it just state "Mega Dynamic"

There are many model out there. Pick any suit you eyes. My opinion is pick lcd that got sticker "LED" lol... latest technology...

Should be don have light at there, I don have ST2410L, but my other lcd, samsung & dell ultrasharp doesn't have light on it expect power light. The pic at Dell website confusing people. photoshop edited mad.gif You click the features picture view, it just silver icon.

QUOTE(everling @ Oct 21 2010, 04:20 PM)
I don't know about the ST2410L, but on the UltraSharp series, if you move your finger close to the buttons, the bottom most will lit up. Touch that one and the OSD will pop up, and the other buttons on the top will lit up according to the need of the OSD menu.

Which Ultrasharp model?

Otherwise for nearly 1k are HP 2509p, Samsung PX2370, XL2370. ViewSonic VX2739WM?

Btw darkskies, Dell 23" IPS is not rare for their price. Thanks to mass production, massive purchase offer from many Company to manufacturer. AOC, Viewsonic, etc...

BenQ VA panel+LED blacklit caming soon. Now is a chance waiting IPS+ LED backlit from other company wakaka~ Best Best Best thumbup.gif

I afraid something on the panel has been melt down due to overheat. Yesterday Sunday, stay at home read forum and play game etc. LCD turn on over 12hours. Non Air-cond room. Notice this before I switch off doh.gif
Thinking to warranty it.

However today after work, switch on the LCD. It became normal. pic below.

The effect became tiny. Can notice the tiny effect if concentrate looking it

I have no idea got other issue cause this happen other than overheat. Do you guys heard similar case about this?

Haven heard of this issue, didn't know LCD can "melt" by this bare temperature.
Maybe can use fan to blow directly at the back on it to preserve cooler operation temperature?

Notice the 2nd picture still has slight "watery" effect, your ceiling dripping?
Since this is warrant by premium panel, should be able to get 1-1 exchange.
*
Yalor, Never encounter this before. But the fact is there. the effect can be slowly noticeable without concentrate look at it after 4 hours continues turn on. I believe due to his temp goes higher. quickly switch off cool down to avoid it continues melt that "thing" (WTH is that!? hard coat 3H !? Inside!?) sweat.gif . Plan to put one fan at back by your advice. Good idea.

BTW 2nd picture that "watery"effect is due to camera. no related to lcd smile.gif

This LCD quite hot. By putting hand at the back (not the cooling plate), for my own feeling. Its almost same as Graphic card "hot air" blow out by cooler. sigh... nearly 60'c? may even worst if touch the cooling plate inside.

Must have Smooth Air ventilation in your room.
