10/06/2007 22.36 Figo Becomes Inter's First Summer Signing Luis Figo has conformed that he will be signing on with the Nerazzurri.
Figo had practically left the club after refusing to pen an extension to a contract that expires on the 30th of June. However, the deal with Arab side Al-Ittihad fell through, and the Portuguese legend has since been contemplating an immediate return. The decision has been made, and he will play on for another season. Said a club statement: "It is with great satisfaction for FC Internazionale Milano and its supporters that Figo has confirmed he will wear the Nerazzurri shirt for another season by renewing his contract until June 2008 ."At the end of the next campaign Figo will continue to assist the club with his experience by taking care of international relationships." Figo joined Barcelona from Sporting Lisbon in 1995, and then Real Madrid in 2000 for a then record 56 million euros, before moving to Inter in 2005. http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=324895

Inter Want Tevez The Nerazzurri are trying to sign the Argentinean striker after seeing their offer for David Trezeguet refused by Juventus. With Adriano on the verge of leaving the club, probably for Real Madrid, Inter are searching for a high-profile attacker to strengthen the attacking line for next season.
After their failed attempt to sign Trezeguet from Juventus, where the Bianconeri are not intentioned in selling another important player to the Nerazzurri, Inter are now tracking down Carlos Tevez. Last week, the Italian club's Directors met with Kia Joorabchian, the General Manager of MSI who owns Tevez's contract. Even though the Argentinean striker still has a contract with West Ham which expires in 2010, Inter could be able to sign the player if they pay a penalty clause of 100,000 Euros, apart from the 27 million Euros the player is worth.
However, the Nerazzurri will also have to watch out from Manchester United who are highly interested in signing the West Ham striker and will offer stiff resistance to Inter in the race for Tevez's signature.http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=325042

6/12/2007 11:02 AM Tevez Interested In Inter
Argentina striker Carlos Tevez has said he is "interested" in joining Italian champions Inter Milan. The 23-year-old West Ham United striker, currently preparing for this month's Copa America with the Albiceleste in Venezuela, joined the Hammers last August from Brazilian side Corinthians in what proved to be a highly controversial transfer.
However, since his major contribution to West Ham's great escape from relegation in the last nine games of the campaign - when Tevez scored seven goals and the Hammers won seven times to secure their Premiership survival - there has been intense speculation that he will leave the East London club this summer.Although Premiership giants Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been linked with Tevez in media speculation, the fact that fellow Argentine international team-mates Hernan Crespo, Julio Cruz, Walter Samuel, Esteban Cambiasso, Javier Zanetti, Nicolas Burdisso, Mariano Gonzalez and Santiago Solari already play their club football for Inter, Tevez may be drawn to the northern Italian city, San Siro and Serie A. "I know Inter is interested in me," said Tevez. "It would be nice to play in Italy, especially in a team that has so many Argentinians. "There will be some meetings, some discussions, but I really don't know anything official yet." http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=325951

6/14/2007 3:30 AM Suazo Passes Inter Medical, Speaks Of Delight
Honduran striker David Suazo has spoken of his transfer from Cagliari to Inter Milan. The news became public on Wednesday afternoon, when Cagliari president Massimo Cellino revealed that an agreement had been reached with Inter patron Massimo Moratti.
The player was said to have travelled to Milan for a medical, and confirmed himself late on Wednesday that he successfully passed the tests.
"I can say for a fact that the visit [for the medical] went well," he said. "I am now waiting for the happy moment when I can declare that I am an Inter Milan player."
He revealed that some details needed to be ironed out before the contracts could be signed, but believes it is only a matter of time. "I cannot say with a 100% certainty that everything is done yet, because some things still remain, of which I cannot speak," he said.
"Besides, it is not my job to inform you that the negotiations have been successfully concluded."
The deal will reportedly fetch Cagliari 10 million euros, along with 19-year-old striker Robert Acquafresca. http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=327536

6/14/2007 1:11 PM Atletico Madrid Move Almost Done - Recoba Alvaro Recoba has confirmed that he is close to joining Ateltico Madrid. The Inter striker is set to leave the club this summer, but talks with Atletico Madrid have been put on hold as the Colchoneros concentrate on securing a Uefa Cup spot on the final match-day.
The Uruguayan could, however, complete his move next weekend, when his agent will travel to Madrid to finalise the details.
Recoba admits it will be difficult to leave Inter Milan after 10 long years, but believes that if he had to, it was best he played outside Italy. He also revealed that Massimo Moratti had agreed to hand him a free transfer if he does not move within Calcio. "There has not been an official offer yet, but my agent Paco Casal will be in Europe next week and will meet [Atletico Madrid chief] Miguel Angel Gil, with whom he has an excellent relationship," Recoba told AS.
"To play for Atletico is an extraordinary opportunity, they are a great club and I want to join them, even if they don't qualify for the UEFA Cup.
"I arrived 10 years ago and I have always played here, except for a short spell at Venezia. I grew up with the Nerazzurri, but now it's time for a change and Atletico offer me this chance."
"I spoke to Moratti last week, before I left [for vacations]," he continued. "He is the reason I stayed here so long, but this time we looked each other in the eye and agreed this is the right moment to leave.
"We have always had a special relationship and he will let me go for free, even if I still have a year on my contract, as long as I don't move to another Italian club."http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=327880

6/16/2007 Simeone Sponsors Tevez Move To Inter The former Nerazzurro player believes that the Argentinea striker could be an important element for Inter. Diego Pablo Simeone, has advised Inter to act quickly and purchase Carlos Tevez from West Ham in order to strengthen the squad for next season and be competitive in the Champions League apart from the Serie A.
"He (Tevez) is the number 1, he can change you the team. He's perfect for the Italian football, I had already suggested him to Mancini during the Lazio days.
"Apart from having an immense class, he puts on the pitch a lot of anger and hunger. Tevez is a forward like Totti and scores just like a striker," commented Simeone on the young Argentinean player. For Inter, Tevez could be the perfect replacement of Adriano if the Nerazzurri decide to sell the Brazilian striker who has disappointed a lot in the past season with his on and off the pitch antics.
However, Inter are first trying to swap Adriano for Barcelona's Eto`o' before trying the assault on Tevez. http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=329359

6/18/2007 Grosso's Agent Dismisses Roma Reports Fabio Grosso's agent insists that there are no problems between his client and Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini. There have been reports that the World Cup winner has been at odds with Mancini, and could be moving away from the San Siro after just one season. Reports of a move to Roma, whom he almost joined last summer before moving to Inter in a 6.5 million euro move, have been doing the rounds. However, his agent has insisted otherwise, asserting that their are no problems with the coach either. "Grosso never had any problems with Mancini," Slivio Pagliari told Teleradiostereo. "My client isn't the kind of person who creates tension in the dressing room.
"He has no intention of leaving Inter. He likes it here and does not want to change clubs."
Speaking of Grosso's problems over the season, Pagliari said: "His last season was unlucky because of a number of physical problems, but he is eager to show his true value, and wants to repay Inter's trust.
"The rumours about Roma? It is my understanding that they are absolutely baseless." http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=331097

Inter to lose Chivu too? Tuesday 19 June, 2007
After losing David Suazo, Inter also look set to miss out on Cristian Chivu as the row with Roma over David Pizarro rumbles on.
The Nerazzurri are finding it tough to be as dominant on the transfer market as last summer, when many sides were waiting to discover the verdicts of the Calciopoli penalties to decide their strategies.
They had been very close to signing Giallorossi defender Chivu in part-exchange for the remaining half of Pizarro's contract, but negotiations have ground to a halt. It all centres around Pizarro, who joined Roma last year in a co-ownership deal. While the Chilean has made it clear he wishes to remain at the Olimpico, Inter are refusing to renew the split contract.
The San Siro giants want at least Ł4.3m for the other 50 per cent, but Roma consider it excessive and the situation is heading towards a blind auction.
This is when two clubs put a bid into a sealed envelope and the highest figure wins the full control of the player.
Roma chief Rosella Sensi does not want to combine the Chivu talks with those for Pizarro, as the Romanian defender would be preferably sent abroad to Barcelona rather than for Scudetto rivals Inter.http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jun19o.html

6/21/2007 Inter Want Aguero Option - Report
Inter are apparently hoping to secure first refusal on young Atletico Madrid star Sergio Aguero. The Argentinian has impressed in his first season in Spain since moving from Independient.
Inter and Atletico are currently negotiating a deal for Alvaro Recoba who looks set to move to Spain. The Italian champions have reportedly asked for an option on the 19-year-old during the negotiations with Atleti.
Aguero has scored six goals this season, including an equaliser in December's 1-1 draw with Barcelona at Camp Nou.
He arrived from Argentinian for around Ł14 million last summer.http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=333403This post has been edited by scorps: Jun 21 2007, 11:22 PM

6/22/2007 Inter's Zanetti Calls For Tevez Inter star Javier Zanetti believes compatriot Carlos Tevez would represent a great signing for the club. The Nerazzurri continue to be linked with a move for the Argentinian, whose future at West Ham is far from secure. "It would be a great signing for us because he is a player that never gives up," said Zanetti.
"He would be ideal for Inter, he has great talent and we really hope he will join us."
Inter are in the market for a new striker after missing out on Cagliari's David Suazo, who controversially joined neighbours Milan this week after seemingly being set to join the Nerazzurri. A host of clubs have been linked with Tevez, including Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid.
Tevez is currently on international duty as Argentina prepare for the Copa America. http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=334133

6/25/2007 Adriano Wants Stay To Repay Moratti Faith Enigmatic Inter striker Adriano has attempted to slam the door on the undying speculation tipping him for a move away from the San Siro this summer.
The prodigiously talented Brazilian international striker has struggled for any sort of consistency over the past two seasons and his hard partying lifestyle has earned him more headlines off the field than on it. To his credit, Adriano has now again gone on the record as saying that his commitment has not wavered, despite being touted as a deal-sweetener in almost all major transfer activity that Inter are said to be involved in. "If Inter feel the same way I would like to stay at the San Siro as I consider Inter my home," insisted the 25-year-old. "I want to stay here because Moratti has always kept faith in me and I want to prove him right.""And If they did wish to sell me? I would accept their decision but with only one condition," he continued, "which would be to choose my next destination as I want to stay in Italy." Although the overriding theme of his statements were to the contrary, the last line could invariably add fire to the rumours tipping him for a cross-city switch. Milan have been repeatedly linked to Adriano after having made the acquisition of a top tier striker their main priority, and somehow it is less conceivable that Adriano had either Juventus, Roma or Fiorentina in mind when revealing that he would want to remain in Italy even if his future is away from Inter.http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=336205
