Moratti Discusses Inter's Transfer Plans
Nothing Rash
"This team has won and has achieved important results this season, so I don't think we need to make any major investments," said Moratti.
"I don't want to disappoint anyone, but there will only be a few small adjustments to give more continuity to those departments where we suffered injuries this season."
Figo
"For us, it would be important if Luis Figo were to stay. He is very important in terms of quality on the pitch and for the squad," he continued.
"We think he can be useful next year too. If he leaves we will have to think about how to intervene in the transfer market.
"If Figo leaves we will have to buy two players because besides experience, he has talent.
"If he stays, Mancini is right in saying that he can't be used for the entire season, so you need another player who can cover that position."
Other Areas
"We will certainly have to reinforce the midfield and defence in terms of numbers," the Inter patron explained.
"However, if I found myself at the start of the season with the same squad I have now, I wouldn't be worried about facing the championship and the Champions League."
AdrianoAs for the Brazilian striker, who has continuously been rumoured to have problems, and been linked with a summer move, he said: "We are still with Adriano and we're trying to find the best solution for him and us in terms of preparation for next season.
"In any case I think it would be nice for Adriano to be at Sunday's party [which the striker was not keen to attend, wanting to return to Brazil]. I think he was just looking for a solution to recover quickly.
"Has he decided to stay? It takes two to make decisions, but I think he wants to remain, just as we want him to stay and perform at his best."
