BTW i hv maybank and CIMB bank account in malaysia..
*

QUOTE(magiclover @ Aug 5 2010, 06:53 PM)
That is M1 take 3 plan, where u can use it for 2 years for free and the phone doesn't belong to you at the end of the contract.
Besides take 3, I'm pretty sure u will have ownership of the phone
*
after 21 months, it is time to change a new phone... so trash the phone all u want

QUOTE(reign226 @ Aug 5 2010, 08:34 PM)
M1 is it? The corporate plan is it they fixed 20% off for all plan? Cos when I called, they said discount for Keppel group of companies for iPhone Plan is $44.8 (from normal $56). But my friend on Take 3 said his monthly payment got discount nearly 50%. Different rates for different sort of plans?
*
i think u can talk to the corporate sales officer

at first 380 to 430 due to my gf frequently visit me and stay overnight. now 430 to 500! the reason he give is tat the government increase the electricity bills, so hav to increase my rent also.
*
hmm.. i think its ok increase to 430 since you get to enjoy your gf... but the 500 have to see the location, some places is just worth it even without aircond.. u have to take a risk of moving, new place might not be good also... moving cost? new agent cost?

QUOTE(seantang @ Aug 11 2010, 12:08 AM)
You're supposed to show your Mykad to be able to pump RON95 into a foreign registered car.

QUOTE(Jurlique)
Walan Eh, Gomen jealous izit? I wonder what the damn impact can be resulted from refusing foreign cars to pump Malaysia petrol.

Those morons really use D1CKHEAD to think.
The real target are the Thais, not the Singaporeans. Thais come to Perlis and Kedah with pickups and minivans with modified fuel tanks to smuggle subsidised petrol out. I've seen a Thai pickup at my mechanic's place in Kepong with a 300L fuel tank. That's 6 times the normal size. The driver said he usually pumps petrol once an hour, 12 hours a day. That's 3600L of petrol smuggled out each day. Minivans, small lorries can hold a ton or two of petrol. Imagine how much money is lost.

Singaporeans are just an unfortunate casualty of war.

The real solution would be to remove petrol subsidies. But then... you guys will still complain anyway.
*
to gov thais are malays so it is ok...sg is chinese so not ok

QUOTE(seantang @ Aug 11 2010, 08:29 AM)
The Southern Thais can't vote for UMNO. So, it's not ok. Just that the customs, police and petrol station operators all take a cut and therefore the smuggling goes on unabated. Also a lot of the so-called nelayan... many of them smuggle petrol rather than catch fish.
*
i think thats why we all left in the first place

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Aug 11 2010, 02:20 PM)
would a fresh graduate with an Accounting degree be able to find a job in Sg? Or should I gather working experience in Malaysia first before venturing?

Thanks.
*
if my friend could, so could u

QUOTE(blessedvillain @ Aug 11 2010, 10:02 PM)
Question.

If my current landlord ends the tenancy contract early because they managed to sell the place, do I get some form of compensation? I wish to at least get back my agent fees and deposit.

Very sad to move out from Bukit Batok...
*
if they told u 1 month in advance then deposite... if spot then deposite and 1 month rent... but as per contract

QUOTE(uberlebender @ Aug 11 2010, 10:18 PM)
I just got myself a place at Bedok Reservoir for 500$. Why is it that I need to pay full month fees to agent when all he did was put the advert on the net where I found it. Even the owner can do that! Please somebody make me feel better.

N btw, what is all this 1+1, 3+1 term?
Is it how I paid for my 1 month plus 1 month advance when i first rent the room?
*
if u r reluctant to pay the agent, then dont rent the place in the first place... go find direct owner

well for me i am lucky cause i had relatives in sg.. stayed for 2 months and then my colleagues invited me into their home... aunt's place too far anyway... nvr regretted it at all although sometimes makes me annoyed but it is acceptable, no biggie... i tried finding through agents, and because i wanted cheap places in nice neighbourhoods, the units are all crappy and disapointing...

since so many new comers here... why dont meet up and rent a whole uniut?

There's a Giant at IMM, but its quite far from where you are. Tomorrow I'm going to try taking a leisure trip via Causeway Link to JB side Jusco. Some things are cheaper in Singapore than Malaysia though. For eg, I can buy 1L Dutch Lady milk in Sg for $1.40, but in Malaysia they are selling for RM6!
*
how much is causeway link?... from j east station? stop at jusco johor>
