I rented a one bedroom (studio) walk up apartment with an attached bathroom in Geylang Lorong 15 for SGD 900 p.m. EXCLUDING PUB!!! and I was told that was a steal.....

nola, my landlord sold his house. and they will only get their new house end of December. We have to move out by 15th Nov. they were only charging me $400 now. because the landlord's brother in law is staying in the same house as well, he surveyed for room and the cheapest he can find is $750. So i also feel a bit pai seh paying only $400 for the whole room everything in including internet. My landlord actually ask me to find a place temporary for 1 month until they get their new house, then i can move back in. My aunty say she is ok to let me stay there 1 month. But i feel paiseh la. paying so low de rental to them. Mayb stay in JB will be better? since the rental is cheaper and my work place is in AMK. not very far from causeway.

I have a maybank account nominated in Ringgit, but i am not sure whether i can withdraw SGD? for the activation, is that possible to do it online? also, if i successfully activate it? can i withdraw SGD using my maybank ATM card in other banks ATM such as OCBC, UOB? because it is quite difficult to find Maybank ATM machine here.

I do not have a credit card. Do money changer in Singapore allow Malaysia debit card swipe? Mean i get SGD and i pay my ringgit using debit card swipe.?

I believe you can authorise oversea transaction in maybank2u website.
I did some authorisation on my card to allow me to purchase from itunes previously.

i would like to know what broadband is good in singapore? i will be staying in cck soon. however, the unit does not supply internet. So,I am expecting to start a line myself thus i want to know more about your opinion about broadband service in singapore.

I hope the internet either by phone line or usb modem (though I would prefer cable connection despite of its consistency). and Most importantly, the usage is unlimited (if there is any)
