hahaha paiseh, coz sony's QLV too nice to use, i almost never use LV on my D90... just now test it, first thing notice, i doubt it did a 7x i think max of 6x? (it seem wider then A550 at 7x, i assumed its not 100% at all) and its darker (A550 is brighter) and details, A550 wins..., btw, A550 haven zoom to 14x leh,...



btw, today, i was with my friend in her jewelry shop... as we know, diamond has engraving serial number on them, and ONLY with a telescope u can see them... and she said, she had to spend 30k for the leica telescope to see the diamond serial (for the client to verify the diamond is theirs and not swapped with face one).. but when i use it to check my diamond for the serial, i spend 20 minute adjust my eye to see it,... it soooo small inside the telescope...

so i took on a challenge, i told her, i believe my sony A550 can shoot the serial number out sharp and clear! so... the result of the evening after the 2nd shot...



(and i tease her, no need spend 30k... 4k can get the setup camera i use and u can snap snap to show ur customer the serial with ease then looking through that telescope trying to find the number, can even give the photo to customer, they sure happy... and she will be the first jewelry shop with this service! hahaha, she say think about it... lol) summore IMHO, if she really do it, then she can indirectly help promote sony Alpha... LOL

those who wonder how i shoot it? using RAYNOX + 200mm Powerrrrr~~!

so let say 12mp, the max zoom is only like A550 at 7x zoom, but with 14x it can go really close, but the D90 cant... so, can i conclude that, it cant zoom up to 100%? maybe somewhere at the 7x? (acutally i dont know how to count the pixel and multiplier thing u did just now... they look confusing hahaha)

Added on May 15, 2010, 11:13 pmactually, not just me, when i snap first time, the serial was on the right side of the diamond, so i turn it to snap another time (yea, i am kinda good with raynox) and snap, when i saw the number, not only me, but all the shop staff goes WAHHHHHH(they were behind me watching me shoot).... then show my friend, she was really really impressed... tomolo evening go kacau her again hahahaha... maybe instead of A550, ask her buy NEX also can LOL

dont think F1.4 is at F2.0, it can be sharp at F1.4 on my unit (after my A300 calibrated)...

F1.8 same also ler, but then, when u shoot at less then 5 meter distance, u sure use F2.8 for proper DOF... else everything here there bokeh

sigh, so bad mood today, last night i acciendentally broke my friend's F58's wide panel + front glass + batt cover... sigh, now need to pay him new one... ahhhhhhhh can everyone sponsor me rm10?

can i tease u? shot yesterday's gig.

hahaha. it was on the light stand, my leg hooked on it, and the whole thing fall, my hand grabbing another friend's A550, which to catch ler >.< but now, my money is very tight, coz i am going to KL this month end... wan to meet for portraiture? i am trying to date a girl (very pretty) for portraiture

when the F58 falls, i dont have time to think, coz i only have 10 minute window to photographs 4 setting of 8 model... i faster grab it, put it back, pre-flash (AEL) on body to see its triggerable, then back to shooting @.@ meaning i have 80 sec for each model! no time to think!!!! but its the greatest experience i ever gained... "be real careful not to break stuff!"

the model, well, its a friend... but then, most of u would know her already but sadly, she is not around that time when i will be KL...

zstan: well, i will bring very light gear, maybe just a kitlens + A300 + F20, i plan to travel light dont plan to bring important/heavy gear and risking it... cos those gear are my breads on table...

and yea, the eye gone, coz i keep thinking how to show the eye, the only way is to take close up (the distance memang make the eye small and dark )... later more close up

because she wear those contact lens make the eye black bigger one >.< no wonder!!!

there is not BEST prime, its just diff zoom length that suit u. some ppl find 35mm is nice angle compare to 50mm, but 50mm is the common portraiture and short tele lens everyone else loves. serious portraitures usually comes from 85mm and 135mm.... there is no best prime...

its the SAL35F1.4 G that we talked about... its NOT a BAD prime, just the price tag dont justify it, people rather grab the Sigma 50mm~ and again, dont compare an apple with orange, take other 35mm in the market to compare with 35mm, or take others 50mm to vs Sigma 50mm (IMHO, sigma is wayy overpriced too) apple for an apple, orange for an orange.

A7/8/9 can uses F58 on itself to communicate with other WL flashes

btw, bout the exif thingie, dont be so share, this is sharing community, we suppose to share and do our best to help the new one...

asking for EXIF is Not Wrong. it doesnt mean one will follow blindly. he may use it as a guideline (i know i do, and i still ask for exif!) please dont be harsh to people who seek exif.

to me, asking for exif, its like, (YES) a shortcut... and i agree upon using it, u see, normally, a person will waste 1k of shuttle count until they figure which aperture to use when shooting at a certain distance of close up vs subject size, but the EXIF cut down the shutter count by 10 times to 100 shoot until u get the experience to know the excate setting + what that aperture # does.

metaphor: its the same like sending ur kids to tuition, tuition do not make ur kids smarter, tuition help to make learning easier and quicker. same as EXIF, or seminar or course for photography, and FORUMS.

if u are still agaisnt asking for exif, mean u do not like sending ur kids to tuition (kidding)
