QUOTE(zstan @ May 13 2010, 11:30 PM) Well at least it give my mind that for picking a 50-150mm as better carry ... xD and low profile :3and some comparison that 50-150mm has an outstanding performance because the reason of it optical DX ->FX? just the matter of lacking the tripod ring mount =__= and 150mm only! QUOTE(Mikeshashimi @ May 15 2010, 12:30 AM) well... i have the sony 50mm 1.8, quite good actually... plastic build. Minolta has two however, the minolta has 2. one is plastic and the other metal, i think. and the cross x is better, any sifu pls correct me if im wrong. RS = Plastic Mount Version Maxxum = Metal Mount Version Both have same optic and performance While Sony 50mm SAM F1.8 just same as Minolta RS which is plastic but much lighter and compare with Minolta F1.7 they both share the similar of equal color, contrast and sharpness but 50mm F1.8 has better performance, better macro magnification ratio over the entire 50mm non-Macro range of both Sony and Minolta. The downside I think is the SAM motor .. noisy? and vignetting on wide open This post has been edited by wingster: May 15 2010, 12:48 AM |

QUOTE(zstan @ May 15 2010, 11:55 AM) iamkiet: for a300..u only can see battery life for both combined...i think for a700 can see seperately? mayb i am wrong Only original battery can see the 1 and 2 battery For 3rd Party they just showing the 1 battery percentage and 3rd party battery like Phottix the battery usage is a little confuse like sometimes it only drains one battery sometimes it drain both battery @_@ so if u test to swap the battery slot (i mean 2 battery swap the sloot) u will find out that the battery percentage might show difference |

QUOTE(iamKiet @ May 15 2010, 12:09 PM) @zstan: Hi,thanks for the info.Btw,I am using A550.Your A300 doesn't show battery status when using only 1 battery in the VG? Well here my analysis on the Phottix grip @Moo:So the phottix is not built "as" ori battery grips?A downside for 3rd party grip but consider the price, still ok Added on May 15, 2010, 12:15 pm Hi wingster, you using A550 with phottix VG? How's it? If I put only 1 ori battery then can it show the battery % status? The Pro's : -Cheap -Same function and performance as the A300/A350 and A250/A500/A550 ori grip -It was compatible for A300/A350 which ori grips doesn't (actually it does but one small plactic tip blocks the way for idle A300/A350 ori VG nor A450/500/550 VG to fit it nicely) The Con's -Buttons and Dials wasn't so smooth as the original one -The battery doesn't shows how many percentage of 1st or 2nd battery instead it will only shows up the 1st battery indicator only (like "100% 1") on the battery percentage. Likewise when both battery (like 100%) has been uses on it until 60%, both battery will be exhaust until the same / similar ratio For example for checking on it u need two 100% charged battery on ur VG, When the battery shows until 50% u unplug ur battery grip and put it the battery on your body individually, it will shows each battery will be 50%, this shows that the battery grip runs two battery at the same time and sometimes is inaccurate of the battery grip percentage and when u put each battery on your body with the grip -Grip wasn't feels so nice as the built quality wasn't as good as the original however it usable -The text button will peel off shortly (like AEL and +/- Exposure Compensation button) compare to ori This post has been edited by wingster: May 15 2010, 12:54 PM |

QUOTE(zstan @ May 15 2010, 12:44 PM) Well here's a clear example when Phottix VG mounted on A550 .. it will only shows the 1st battery percentage and eventually it was merge both battery togather![]() While peel off issue, well not that exactly bad for me, it takes me a month for peel off and only for the AEL ... ![]() |

QUOTE(ahpingko @ May 15 2010, 03:08 PM) The only way for u to make a sharp focus is using MF Check Live View which lies on your top part of the camera body.Once u press the button, it directly access through a Live View but with 2 times sharp resolution and vision than the original fast AF Live View It gives u the benefits to Manual Focus (and yet in this mode u can only focus subject by manual focus) the subject with x7 and x14 magnification with maximum resolution HOWEVER you would not able to know the correct exposure on live view and white balance (maybe because this is directly preview through the mirror) |

QUOTE(ieR @ May 15 2010, 11:10 PM) so let say 12mp, the max zoom is only like A550 at 7x zoom, but with 14x it can go really close, but the D90 cant... so, can i conclude that, it cant zoom up to 100%? maybe somewhere at the 7x? (acutally i dont know how to count the pixel and multiplier thing u did just now... they look confusing hahaha) and somehow A550 looks like has much detailed Resolution even I compare with Canon 500D .... but when comes to 550D it pawns back A550 in resolution xD in MF Live ViewAdded on May 15, 2010, 11:13 pm actually, not just me, when i snap first time, the serial was on the right side of the diamond, so i turn it to snap another time (yea, i am kinda good with raynox) and snap, when i saw the number, not only me, but all the shop staff goes WAHHHHHH.... then show my friend, she was really really impressed... tomolo evening go kacau her again hahahaha... maybe instead of A550, ask her buy NEX also can LOL @albnok:hmm ... well because I saw certain discussion about RS version was plasticly >.< well looks like I'm seriously wrong, well thanks for your correction |
