Did you book from a SA name start with J also?

my SA told me allocation will be done on Monday (10/5/10). Naza careline or the SA told you they'll settle everything by this Fri? cause i don't trust SA anymore. er actually i don't remember my SA's name haha cause i saved her contact as 'Forte SA',  but is a lady.
*
Both, careline and also SA. Why don't you call the careline and ask too (they just need your name and I/C number) and see what they say? Number is 1800 88 8542. hmm.gif

If they can't resolve with Kastam this Friday. We will know its total bs and we may have to wait until July for the car already. I told my SA to change to 1.6 sx if they can't resolve it tomorrow.

In TTDI, I think they are 2 lady SA only.... one is a petite indian lady Ms. F K(lucky I din't buy from her...try to con me that Naza increasing the car price 5k soon when I test drive the car...standard bs from a SA) and another malay lady.

Bro, I have lost trust with my SA as well as Naza Careline. For the past 2 weeks, I keep calling them to check on 2.0 status since they promised I can get my car by end of April. Last 2 weeks my SA said that Naza just paid the excise duty, and they will start allocation the following week. He said their CEO went and paid to Kastam himself. Last week I tried to call him but don't even dare to answer my call. Only on Friday his wife (which also Naza SA but different branch) answer my call and said that this Kastam issue still not resolved. She said that Naza promised to settle it by end of this month, earliest is 15th May (this Saturday). Let's wait and see what will happen.

At the same time, I called Naza Careline to double check and every time they keep giving different answer. At first they said the car already here, but having some problem with government. Then they said still no car, and ask me to wait for 2 - 3 months. Call another time said need to wait 3 - 4 months pulak. Asking them where am I in the waiting list, said will check and call me back, but never did.

If not because of Forte, I probably won't buy from Naza. What a disappointment.
*
Guys,

I just spoke to Naza careline...2 mins ago.... not AIN...but Shima... so there is more than 1 person there. tongue.gif They know I called before (when and spoke to who) and noted the empty promise.

sad.gif Now for what Naza says that worries me really a lot. Allocation is not completed yet because there is no stock to allocate from Naza factory/assembly line. WTF.... means Naza building the 2.0 already? I don't want to wait another 1-2 months and get a real 1st batch CKD car from Naza gurun plant. Imagine all the problems we (2.0 CKD 1st batch from Naza gurun will face)... will jump straigh to V10 in 1 month after our car's are released to us with problems posted... I have faith in the Koreans & KIA on their quality, mentality striving for improvement and perfection.... however no faith with Naza sales or their production.... shakehead.gif

Naturally, I asked Shima.... wait a min, I thought there is already ready stock....and its documentation (Kastam and all other bribe takers) thats holding back the 2.0 allocation. Shima reiterated the same ..."no stock to allocate from NAZA assembly" and says that this is the new standard direction and communication given by NAZA management.

icon_question.gif Really don't know what to do now....... can other people here please call NAZA careline and check and post their results here.....

Bros who just got the 1.6 SX (post April 2010),

Can you all help to let me know whether your 1.6SX are actually CBU but declared CKD... can check the serial numbers?

bro... the car delivery nightmare is a never ending story... probably till the day production in gurun starts but nobody has any clue when it's gonna happen so as of now all the troubles r with gamen.

if u r not in a hurry, then wait lo. otherwise no harm for u to explore other options... besides i'm sure u have considered lots of things b4 deciding to buy this car. it's a matter of months to wait for the car that u will drive for years to come. just ask bro izputra and some other 2.0 for their classic stories.
*
Hi,

Yeah...we all knew who you guys suffered with the long wait (and run around with Naza) ...but in the end its a good thing... you guys waited patiently for a good CBU Korean car... rclxms.gif

For us, its a different game now.... we are waiting for a car.... not sure whether its assembled by NAZA or not. rclxub.gif Would you wait 4-5 months for a 1st batch assembled car by NAZA? sad.gif

tat's the SA issue... they all wanna close sales and to do tat, simply giving empty promises.
i thought in 2010 careline already mention waiting period... even though it's not consistent but it's something like 2 - 4 months kinda stuff.
hmmm... i still believe that production line in gurun is not quite ready to roll out the car so all new cars to be delivered these 2 months (if they got car to deliver la) will still be... u know wat i mean smile.gif anyone got insider news? got near to the gurun plant?

we had this discussion back then... and point of reference was the peugeot 308. assembled in malaysia with solid build quality.
yeah... wat an idiot... i'll be darn  vmad.gif  too
*
I really don't blame/ fault the SA, I think all the NAZA SAs and even branch managers are fed with wrong/ vague information from the top (Careline was never consistent to begin with). SA's are usually like pawns in a chess game in NAZA's case. So guys out there, don't mistreat your SA's ya.

Hope its true.... SKD Semi Knocked Down 2.0... 1 container with 4 doors and Kia emblem and separate container with the car without 4 doors and Kia emblem unsure.gif

Let me tell you two things:

It was an other girl. neither ain nor shima picked up my phone call. She said, actually everything pasang in Gurun. When I asked everything? She said everything. Then I reconfirmed, "body seme ke?" Yes is the answer.

Second thing you need to know, I bought Suria first or second batch. Guess what I suffered the most? two weeks got the car, gear box had problem. Major problem. I drove my car instead to my office at Cyberjaya, towards KIA SC Puchong. The car can only ran at 10km/h. Imagine that? Righttttttttttttt in front of the main gate of the SC, my car totally jammed. Siap kena tolak masuk dalam workshop. I asked the people there, what was wrong with my car, they said the kilang in Gurun missed out only one screw in my gearbox to let the gearbox leaked. Ending of the story? They replaced my gearbox with brand new one. Tak sampai sebulan pakai keta, OK? Hanya kerana satu biji skru diorang lupa pasang!

Then, master break pump, changed for how many times, almost every year kena tukar. Lucky enough still under warranty. But in February this year, on my way from south to PJ for my master class, my Suria jammed again in Kesas. Even apek naik basikal pon boleh potong aku. Yes, gear box problem still! What was the meter reading? 60000km! I called Naza, I had to ready an amount of 17k. Sedih tak? Though I NEVER serviced outside, sent to them periodically, they didnt care.

Having Naza services for almost 3 years, yes, they will call you everytime you serviced your car. They will ask. "Puas hati tak? Ade yang tak kena? Barang yang dah ganti OK ke tak? Bla bla". But as far as what I experienced myself, kau cakaplah tak puas hati macam mana, they wont help you to settle the problem. Macam sekadar manis bibir tanya khabar, lepas tu dah.

Dont ask me how I feel now. It hurts!

But why I still wait for Forte? Because they claimed its CBU. But when I called the Careline yesterday, CKD plak. Let me burn my rm1k depositlah this time! Naik tun bas lagi baik daripada pakai keta CKD Naza. Sekian wassalam.

Bro,

Check your VIN serial number whether it starts with KL - KR or PL - PR ?

If I'm not wrong ..read somewhere b4, its located under the steering wheel. I'm not too sure because I don't own 1 yet. Any bros here can enlight us to where the forte VIN number is located for this model?

Another possibility is that its at the "Left side of dash (thru windshield)"

Thanks ya.

Yup. Please share when you got ur car (1.6 or 2.0) and what ur VIN start with.

It looks something like this(pic attached).

As far as I know... VIN doesn't lie and is more reliable than the "kereta pemasangan tempatan or import baru" in our reg card.

it already pass 15th May. Any news on the Naza Management or the Custom?
*
Yup... I called my SA ard 6pm yesterday. Apparently NAZA din't solve the issue yet and decided to give themselves a new deadline by end of May to resolve the issue with Customs.

I wish all of us could work this way too.... when I have deadlines for my boss or clients...I can just give myself new deadlines over and over again without consequences. whistling.gif

Btw, on a lighter note.... according to my SA.... the 2.0 are real CBUs ...she assures me since its already in Rawang since April and arrived via Port Klang. Also that since its an issue with Kastam..... what other issues is there other than these batch of 2.0s are CBUs but Naza try to claim them as CKD and hence the hold up and delays. I can't verify this but it sounds logically though.....

There is only 2 choices now... wait and hope its SKD (another 1-2 months before 2.0 each us) or cancel the car and spend the next few months chasing back your deposit from Naza whilst chasing your new SA (Ford, Toyota, Honda, Peugeout, Mazda) for a new car with crazy bank interest rates.

Or a 3rd choice.... don't buy a car. (Am considering this as a plan B) sweat.gif

Sigh...now back to waiting again ........ sad.gif

(P.S NAZA TTDI is open today until ard 6pm ... but they only have the 1.6 to drive and not the 2.0)

this is why it happens ppl keeps posting this issue up & politicians & customs have to act to delay or verify these sort of public complains hence cause more delays to innocent buyers waiting for their 93k Forte which don't really give a dam if its Ci Ku Teh or Ci Bull Urine as its the best 93k 2.0 specs for now. keep making these no value complains wait longer don't blame others ... this is Malaysia this is also not the 1st day we live here we all know what can happen or not possible to happen. thanks for making it more difficult for others to get their 2.0....
*
Hi there,

Firstly you are welcomed.

Btw, I have to apologize to everyone waiting for their Forte 2.0 because I posted about CBU, CKD and SKD and VIN for being the reason why all your 2.0 is stuck now in Kastam. (kiaforteclub is 100% sure its Kastam d... yay... my Forte is almost 100% CBU). As to why your car is going to get stuck in Kastam longer because of my posts, please ask kiaforteclub directly... ( I infer from his reply above that.. he thinks our forum is so important that the Malaysian G sent superspys and agents to monitor it directly and report back to them directly.)

In kiaforteclub head right now, he can imagine a report sent to Kastam head tomorow morning with a bullet point saying... " Pada minggu lepas, ada beberapa forumer menyatakan kemungkinan kereta forte 2.0 baru mereka adalah masih CBU, kami mengesyorkan bahawa Kastam perlu menyiasat perkara ini dengan serius kerana Kastam hampir meluluskan kereta Forte 2.0 ini dengan kelas CKD. Kastam langsung tidak mengetahui Forte 2.0 adalah buatan Korea sehingga insiden ini...... whistling.gif

On their bullet point footnote, the Kastam will also type up, "kami amat berterima kasih kepada Tuan/Puan yang bernama kiaforteclub kerana berjaya menyedarkan pihak Kastam dengan meggunakan huruf besar dan bold "[size=9]what other issues is there other than these batch of 2.0s are CBUs but Naza try to claim them as CKD and hence the hold up and delays" doh.gif

I also apologize because I din't know that all or almost all of you don't give a damn whether your 2.0 are CKD, CBU or SKD . ( I assume that when you place your deposit for the 2.0 , none of you made this decision without asking whether Naza made the car or its from Korea and SKD in the end).

On behalf of myself and kiaforteclub insensitivity , we humbly ask for all your forgiveness.....

(P.S I forgive you Tuan/Puan kiaforteclub (who already received his/her car) for highlighting the issues with a bigger size font and bolding it)

careline  : Yes

Wow....now careline change their story back to Kastam again. Did anyone ask when they can resolve since there is certain posts here that indicate dealers can get their 2.0 by end of the month?

If its true rclxms.gif , people who booked from branch can get theirs even sooner d.

As the previous 'waiting drama', both version of the story cannot be trusted one. Until the first 2.0 for the 2nd batch been released, there's no way we can confirm it. Pray hard that the SA version is true then  tongue.gif  so that u all can get the car in 2 weeks time hopefully.
*
Got 3 versions already tongue.gif

1) From Careline - 2.0 stuck in Kastam

2) From Careline(last friday) - 2.0 CKD not completed production yet and cannot allocate from Gurun. (When asked ...ei thought stuck with Kastam... say Kastam story is bs.)

3) From SA - Version a) Dealer will get by end month... branch maybe faster
Version b) Naza will resolve Kastam issue by end month (allocation 1 week after that)

My take is..... rclxub.gif wait end of next month d la...... for those din't sell their car...don't sell it until you get ur Forte.

Guys,

If you read yesterdays CBT, someone ask Master Oh Toh, whether they should get Mazda 3 2.0, Civic 2.0 or Ford.

Guess what he said.... get the Forte 2.0 ..... rclxms.gif

Also... based on yesterdays CBT.. apparently no one from the media test drive and review the 2.0 yet. If they do... and bloody Naza solves their "delivery" issue... I believe the 2.0 sure will price increase.....

Haha... I suppose so tongue.gif (lucky got shade). Only thing is, don't know the battery now how d.... so long din't start the car. You guys that waited long long for your 2.0 got problems with battery? Think I read somewhere got some issues with the battery since long time no start.

Think I will call the careline later again and post their result. Must keep up the pressure or else Naza think they can extend their deadlines sesuka hati. Suggest all of you (waiting (2.0) call careline to keep the pressure and threaten to cancel if don't get by end of this month. Start asking questions like when I can get my refund etc and how to cancel.

At least, can hear interesting ever changing "bedtime stories" from careline and post here to compare. brows.gif

If i'm not mistaken (from what i've been told before), at the stockyard they will disconnect the battery connection by pulling out the cable from the battery terminal to safeguard the battery power. In that case, the battery will not run out of power easily. Same practice goes to most of the showroom cars if u ever noticed that  smile.gif
*
Oh,

I din't really notice but I have seen some showroom cars with connected battery though(how I know? Can start the car and see the cockpit light up ) smile.gif

Hopefully NAZA disconnected the battery for all our sakes to protect the battery. biggrin.gif

If the alarm that the SC has doesn't void warranty and includes all the glass breaking sensor then it's worth the price.
Comparing forte vs vios/city is due to the distorted pricing of bolehland. The direct competitor would be Civic/Altis/Mazda3/Latio or Sylphy/Chevrolet Cruze (coming soon).
*
Actually,

Don't treat Naza as being a good samaritan here. whistling.gif

Trust me, Naza will distort the price (increase it higher) also if Forte proves its quality and market perception towards Korean car in the future.

All forte owners/bookers are actually taking a risk (calculated or some blindly) when buying the Forte as we are taking some risks on the "unknown/unproven" quality and with the current bad perception of Korean cars are fuel guzzlers and low resale value. Hence the old adage.... with higher risk comes higher returns (in our case in huge savings in car price).

No point keep compare with current Jap car competitors as they have the upperhand in market perception (longer reliability data based on history with some exceptions in Toyota's case) while Forte can only prove quality in time to come(in most cases) and current gadgets/specs. (even my dad frowned on me when I said I told him I cancelled my Mazda 2 to change to Forte 2.0)

So to anyone still comparing the cars out there.... every brand and models come with its own risks and rewards... so choose wisely after considering all aspects of the make and model. There is no car that is No.1 unless all cars are priced the same.

Lol..... yeah, can bring up CKD and CBU for speculation. tongue.gif Will make all those waiting for 2.0 to be restless and those who already got their cars (e.g. kiaforteclub) to be become champions for people who din't get their car yet and blame us (for more delays) for speculating something that we don't give a damn about anyways (according to champion). brows.gif

My take is ...its still SKD for our batch and the delay is because one side wants more $$$$ and the other side don't want to pay so much $$$$. Welcome to Malaysia.

Btw, called careline yesterday..... still same story.... no stock to allocate then my line was cut -off. SA still say she believe Naza will sort it out by end of this month. So..still same story.
