Sound like the 1.6 SX is more the suitable choice for me rather than the 2.0.

Hi there,

Actualy the 1.6 SX is quite good d. I booked 2.0 from March and now changed to 1.6 SX bcoz fed up and cannot wait. I have no regrets with the 1.6SX at all , just went up Genting on 3rd day I got my car with manual 2nd - 3rd gear and can still overtake on highways. rclxms.gif

On the way down, I used Karak highway, cruising along all those windy roads at 120km an hour on the fast lane. Handling is quite good. To think about it, I'm actually happy with my 1.6SX change, can save on FC and insurance. biggrin.gif

So my advise is, if you can afford it and wait 4 months and more go for the 2.0. If not, the 1.6 SX is really good enough for city driving + some highway driving.

Guys/ seniors, so now where is best to service the car? Selayang or Setapak? The car does pull itself to the left a bit and would like to resolve it. Thanks.

aligment problem consider manufacturing or design defects/problems? will it be resolve for free under warranty eventually if the cause is confirm. What kia official view on this matter?
*
LOL... u mean Naza Kia's official view on the matter?

Based on my observation, they will try to rectify it... then say "we tried our best but tak boleh lah, tak pe... we escalate the problem upwards (upwards meaning into the rubbish bin) and get back to you (which they won't until u bug them and repeat the same answer above).

Well, that how it is. Anyone disagree with the Naza Kia's view/ modus operandi above so far? LOL...

First of all, it's not called a heat mat. It's an insulation mat. Secondly it does not absorb heat and release it out from the bonnet. It prevents heat transfer from the engine to the bonnet. It's an insulation mat and does not absorb any heat. It just deflects it back into the engine.

Doesn't that make the engine hotter (with the deflect back) and defeat the purpose? I always thought it is soundproof material. doh.gif

This is so that you can touch your bonnet without burning your fingers. The insulation mat prevents heat soak that happens after you stop driving. Heat from the engine will radiate towards the bonnet, making it almost as hot as the engine itself and of course damaging the paint in the long run too.

It also doubles as a soundproofing material but it's primary function is to ensure that the bonnet does not get too hot. The engine does not get hotter after you turn it off since it is only radiating left over heat from the metal parts of the engine.

Thanks. Now only I know its primary function. smile.gif

Ai... am planning to do my 1st 1k service this Monday in Setapak branch. Any advise whether they can resolve or at least improve the alignment steer left issue or not. Any good SC to recommend that can resolve this issue?

Change camber will void the warranty right?
