QUOTE(ahfahmiz @ Jun 15 2010, 11:07 PM)
Guys,
Sorry for the late update. Being busy enjoying myself with new ride smile.gif heheh..
i am now officially a fortezen member.. Collected my spicy sexy red 2.0 last nite.

It wasnt a smooth sail with so much drama happening last week between me and the dealer. I had already signed a letter to request for refund on tuesday but the bos insisted to be given a chance for one more day. Apparently later that night they managed to get a stock somewhere from seremban. However it doesnt convinced me yet until thursday came and the chasis no. being given out.

So i guess yesterday nite was the first time the car being delivered/collected at 12am from the dealer. And am telling u that the feels during the first ride is really Speechless!! Those who havent get ur car, pls pls hold on to ur SA promise first as the car is really worth to wait. You will enjoy the ride till the last drop of the gasoline smile.gif

there were not so many problems that i would want to complaint so far other than those common problem discussed in this thread (HL got fog after car wash, alignment steer to the left, tyre was over inflatted until 50psi, and yik yik sound coming from unidentified source when riding thru harsh road). Will fix it all during the 1st service then.

Already stick the 2.0 emblem at the back, with all those my forte club stickers recvd from KFC. currently waiting for K emblem from phelix, boot tray, and the visor.

Havent done the tinting yet. So far am considering the aircool package offered to my forte club member @ rm1150 if am not mistaken.  Anyone had installed this type do share with us here on the feels k wink.gif

am also considering for alarm which wouldnt void the warranty but the price of 500 offered by the SA is a bit pricey. I guess around 200-300 shld be reasonable then.

Then later would want to install BK. perhaps in 1-2 months time. Got to check and ask aroubd first on the material and the price as well. So far the BK used by viao pavilion is really nice to my eyes. BK malaysia type if am not mistaken. But the price of rm2k++ is damn expensive. Got to find other place which can offer the same type with lower price then.

Last but not least in my poisoned list is to go for sierraglow. shld be better to do it once BK has been installed.

So my fren fromhell, if u saw me somewhere in sri damansara dont forget to highbeam me ya. The rest also, if bump into each other sure will waive my hand one smile.gif

p/s: bro saimatkong, pls update my status ya. Thnks smile.gif

i dun think alarm available yet.....i asked the SC ppl here, they say this model got no alarm....
damn....really wish 2 get alarm

QUOTE(unclemike @ Jun 16 2010, 12:10 PM)
hey guys! went for first service yesterday at Setapak SC and below were the problems i mentioned to them:

1. car pulls to the left
2. check chamber
3.right light higher positioning than the left
4. adjust throttle cable

the service done was quite fast thumbup.gif . took them abt 40minutes to settle everything. and after all the problems settled, the car still pulls to the left but not so obvious sad.gif , lights are better now and pickup damm nice! after the mechanic adjusted the throttle cable, with slight tap the car surge forward! rclxms.gif

after first service went to MRR2 highway wit the slight tap, i din even realize the car was reaching 120kmh with three of my friends whom were big sized.  biggrin.gif  drool.gif

Giving Setapak SC an A+ for their service. Can Make It!! thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

Added on June 16, 2010, 11:14 amnext on the list, tinting and emblem change.... any advise?
*
can i call my SC technician 2 do it?? wat's the effect of adjusting throttle cable?? more power? more responsive??
wat's the advantage and disadvantages of adjusting throttle cable(like engine idling RPM before n after)??
currently my stock 1.6 is at idling 7xx RPM. if it really give a push on the responsiveness, and makes engine feels lighter to push,
then i'll go for it, if the idling RPM increase after rev, i might think bout it.

so, can any1 advice me bt this?? coz i seriously nid makes my 1.6 b more responsive(like accelerate n overtaking)

today i go do my alignment again....and also alignment for camber...
i go to the usual tyre shop...the 1 SC recommended(FOC)
this is the 3rd day i go there, and hopefully can complete and finish the alignments.
When i go there, still complaining the car move to the left still(like after releasing steering, immediately move left), they adjust for me...after tested for 4 times, they said, if wanna better performance, change tyre.
i got frustrated, and that's the best they can do.
immediately, i go to the shop my dad usually sent his car 2 do alignments, to my surprise, in juz less than 3 tests, the car like dun move to the left anymore(not that immediately, response to straight road better).
I paid RM27 for it, and happily leave that shop.

Alor Setar Fortezens, dun go to the SS tyre shop(a.k.a. Hankook Tyre Shop recommended by SC). The shop i went is Kim Sin Tyre Shop(very nearby...walking disance from that SS tyre shop). I let the tauke do everything, and he said no need change tyre....the stock tyre already good enough....of coz changing better tyre is much better, but juz to save money, use stock tyres already can give this performance..i m happy with it....

lol. no problemo. already  tapau civic 1.8 on the road with forte 1.6  tongue.gif
*
and in pricing, ald tapau siti/dugong vios

and for those who think the stock tyre is a noisy type, i dun think so....for me, stock ald consider quiet type d....
noisy....that's used to what i think....but if u go to smooth road, baru paved.....u try c got noise or nt...
i m sure stock tyre is not a noisy type(mayb a little coz of the wide tyres requires more traction....)
the problem of the noises......is the road itself, not paved, dented road, everywhere pitholes, and full of bumps....

lol, that true also. I have almost almost almosttt place oder for the forte.
But last minutes i still go for H bcos reli no confidence on korean car.. >.<
cos me n my cousin them have korean car and all is giving us problem, very very annoying T.T
but forte is reli give me a impressive look with cool tech.. but still... scare dy.
maybe wait for few years and see got any positive feedback from forte 1st XD
then only buy their new facelit or model ^^ kakaka
*
it's true b4 i bought my forte....the previous classes like Naza Ria, Spectra(not sure bt S5) are giving headaches
that's what my family, my grandpa think too.....yet my grandpa hates korean cars alot....whenever he saw 1 of his anak or cucu or grand cucu get 1...sure marah teruk...
i kena also after i bought my forte....my dad oso dun wan me buy forte but ended up bought coz i seriously likes it.....
when my dad 1st sat it in the backseat, while i was driving, both my parents(mom n dad) immediately change the opinion....was like WOW!!
when my dad 1st drove the car(from taiping to ipoh), he WOW too.....the FC was really amazing.....and the 1 that scold me....kena marah teruk 1 grandpa...once sat inside and head to ipoh,
he got no 2nd words...really speechless.....*as the theme said Leaves You Speechless ...and it was really true...amazing that KIA's new revo designer Peter S. did a very good job on it...
i m sure u....forte is the best car i've ever sat in below RM100k....much better than nissan grand livina 1.8 which my dad owns....of coz dun compare the power...1.6 n 1.8......
this car....more spacious, wider and boot(we like most) is very big(nt as big as new siti)...full auto headlamp, aircond.....
recommend ppl buy this....now still ...mayb some CBU units left...get it while u can if not....CKD...dunno wat will happen....

this reminds me abt the new china's chevy eastar mpv 2.0L
i saw an accident on saturday, using old road from sp back alor setar. a motorcycle(believes to b the 1 who is wrong) ram at the backside of the eastar..
the damage of the eastar was very terrible, while of coz the motor's damage...lagi teruk, but still can b repaired...
as for the eastar, the back like....xtremely hard 2 knock back d...china cars = no quality...not sure bout chevy tiggo SUV...hope it got better material than eastar, since it is a SUV anyway
surprisingly 2 me is...the motorcycle got a better built material than eastar...

oh.. I dint get the GPS and tinted free. I should ask my SA why he didn't gave me hahah but I think for tinted you should get a better one rather than a freebie that you dunno bout the quality of it.

just a quick check with 2.0 owners, does your driver seat comes with a backside pocket?
coz mine only have a backside pocket on front passenger seat. driver side dont have.
*
yup, driver side sure don't have
it's becoz for driver's safety....
if u insert something(like newspaper) in the back seat pocket of the driver, u tend 2 disrupt him from driving
it's like u're pushing his seat frontward, disturbing his concentration
that's y they don't put the back seat pocket on driver's side..
