I was once told by an ex-honda head office staff that the best branch to go is the one next to 32 square. Near Jaya there. They always have good quotas compared to other branches.
But I don't have experience myself. Avoid those independent dealers that sell for Honda

Getting a car through MM2H and Talentcorp is a winding affair for all parties, from Talentcorp, MOF, customs, assembler, brand owner, dealer and right down to the salesman. It involves a lot of documentation, approvals and physically going back and forth to each other until finally the car gets clearance.
Not many salesman or woman would want to get involved with this although they get their commissions at the end. You don't need to look for a good dealer, but a good salesperson and his / her team who would go beyond their capabilities just to help you get your car fast.

based on my understanding, discounts will still be the same. tax free is just the tax portion paid is exempted.

means if car X is sold for 200k under normal circumstances (before road tax and insurance and registration fee and small small items i.e. just car price alone if you look at the price list), and tax free price is say 150k and all the tax rate say is 100%, it means the the basic car price is 50k, tax 50k and all accessories price amounts to 100k (and this is where car manufacturers screw you inside out).

the quote of 150k for the car price is before any discounts. you see this will not affect their margins in any way thus will be able to provide you with the usual discounts.

went to Glenmarie just now, wanted to check if Volvo V40 Rebel blue is in show room but it was closed

Went to VW and asked about Polo Sedan and Polo CKD. Looks like the discount is minimal. Around 10k discount, bringing the price to 75k+

Hi REP folks. Anyone here who has passed the 2 year marked and decide to sell of their vehicle. Just wanted to know what was the resale value price and did the buyer have to pay for the tax. What procedure is required?

Went to see Mitsubishi today for the CKD ASX.
VERY WELL spec'ed car for its price. The REP price is around 94k OTR for 4WD and 83k OTR for the 2WD.
Go for the 4WD since it is far superior with push start, moon roof, traction control and more.

And the best thing is, they already have a division that handles tax-free cars, which makes car delivery super fast.

Hi Hsinyi , you can try the Mitsubishi dealer here (wegro sdn. bhd) .

4523 (d) Jalan Cheras, 56100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

They are doing it for me and very quickly done for me , you can ask for Jason Phang (012-395-7198) and say Kong introduced to have speedier service biggrin.gif . I got my ASX from them too , really professional service.

Cheers

Hi guys I am locking my interest on CX 5 and ASX 2014 for REP.

I have very limited information on both the price as the sales person unable to advise the price after deduction of the tax.

And Mazda sales girl is the worst as she have no interest in selling CX 5 as what she advise need to wait for 5 months only can get car due to shortage in the market.

Can somebody advise what is the price for ASX 2014 4WD after deduction and what is the price for CX 5 after deduction?

Something I'm keen to know too!
Previously under MM2H you can sell your car after 2 years, and the taxes are reduced from year to year until the 5th year and then tax waived. With Talentcorp I haven't heard from anyone
