I'm abit wary on purchasing watches online. There is little recourse if I do get a defetive product be it scratched or whatnot. Not to mention that Tag official website states they do not sell online.

http://www.ballwatchusa.com/collections/en...teriiseries.asp <---- Under Engineer Master II collection, Officer model, what's with the message? Site got hacked by an unhappy customer?
*
To me if you can save a lot, bare the risk, and the watch is not available in here. Why not?

anyone knows how Archimede is priced in their Msia's authorised reseller (Watch Guild at Marc Residences), compared to online stores?

Seems that online order can be done thru SG as well (http://www.gnomonwatches.com) ...prices are in USD and bit ex if compared to the EURO site... only that shipping cost is lower and easier to deal with since its nearer smile.gif

anyone has bought archimede thru online?
*
I've compared price is higher form Watch Guild than their site. One thing good is you can try and view before you buy.

hi..i'm new here....this thread is great...I previously owned a Casio Edifice and now wearing a Seiko 5 automatics..

I'm currently interested in a Tissot PRC200 Chronograph..

And i really wonder...how much could i get this in Malaysia? i am currently in Australia..i'm not sure how much they are selling this in AU but things are generally more expensive in Aus..
I also saw this watch selling at a ridiculously cheap price in Ebay...which makes me feel it might not be authentic...How do i know if a watch is authentic?
*
Beware of fake Tissot!

I would say Malaysia is cheaper coz of tax free status and no GST.

i m considering between Archimede normal Pilot and the chronograph..but the chrono is like double the price

Is it worth paying double for it? Its using the Valjoux 7750 movement which is supposedly better than the Elabore/Std grade of the 2824-2 movement? Think someone mentioned that Archimede is using standard..
*
One is normal automatic, the other is chrono movement. Of course the price is different.
7750 is a most common chrono movement, been around for years and reliable.

Mind to give some examples of what are the other brands that i can look into? Cause honestly speaking i'm not very familiar with most of the brands listed in the list as i've never seen them in the local market. Thanks.
*
Would you consider Seiko? There are some JDM models that fit into your budget and they are not as common as those models avail locally.
i.e. Seiko Spirit (this is the model I like) http://forums.watchuseek.com/f21/seiko-spi...ions-43166.html
i.e. Seiko Sumo, Seiko Samurai

Hello everyone,

I'm interested to buy a Mido Multifort Chronograph Special Edition. I saw one here in Ipoh and selling for RM6200 b4 discount. Is this watch worth the money I'm going to spend. I made some reading and find that the movement in base off ETA 7750 and modified by Mido. I knew a lot of people would buy a tag or oris but I certainly saw this Mido is lot cheaper comparing to chrono from Tag. Any suggetions from learned members here appreciated. I'm looking forward to buy my first mechanical swiss made watch.  notworthy.gif

Thanks
*
I can't say whether it is worth it but 7750 certainly is a workhorse chrono movement. Been years and reliable.
Do check out first page if you want other alternatives. Hamilton do have models with 7750 with a lot less price.
