For Citibank, the minimum CL for its Plat was supposedly RM20k. But it could have lowered its limit as banks tend to lure more customers by throwing Plat CCs.
Alliance CCs lack exciting promotions. Alliance comparatively has a low customer base. However, I've never won anything from them.
It used to give cash back for spending (except petrol) based on denomination of RM100. The T&Cs may have changed now.

So it's true they never follow their supposedly minimum and maximum CL? As I'm very sure that I've seen statements with higher CL than it was written there

I believe deposit down-payment for a car still accepted by some dealers

I think that's very typical of Alliance Bank. When i closed my savings account a while ago, they insisted that there is a service charge of RM10 no matter how long i've been using the account despite the fact that in their website it is clearly written there is no charge if i close the savings account after 3 months from opening. I suspect the staff attending to him is just like many other Alliance Bank staffs that do not know their own product offerings well.
Does that mean Public Bank will ask you to pay for the stamp duty ? Because when i applied for a secured credit card from HSBC last year, i did not have to pay anything at all  tongue.gif

For closing of savings account even PBB charges a fee but I cooked up a fuse last time so they waived it

Each bank has its own set of rules. It just so happens that HSBC will give you only 80% and even if you query them, they will only tell you either take it or go to other banks. Besides, it is no secret that HSBC is very strict in approving credit card. They were extremely reluctant to give me the HSBC VISA Platinum then. They kept on asking me why do i need a second card since they already gave one to me. Then, they tried to persuade me to take the HSBC Gold VISA instead which i refused. At the end of the day, they gave up and issued me the VISA Platinum. It took them 1 week plus to finally agreed to give me the VISA Platinum  laugh.gif
Yes. But Public Bank PLUS Savings Account is their own product, therefore they can make any rules they want. So, as long as you do not close your PLUS Savings or any other Public Bank non-basic accounts in the first 6 months, you won't be charged anything.

Why is HSBC so reluctant on approving credit cards?

Lolz I like their credit card design though. Anyway I remember that you mentioned SCB business platinum cashback is immediately credited on that particular month itself right? Meaning I spend 20k this month I get 100 rebate on this month bill immediately and also 20k rewards points?

One good thing about SCB cards is that, cash back is immediately given after the retail transaction is completed. You will be able to see the cash back amount online for every single transaction 1 or 2 days after the transaction date. Whereas other banks normally show a lump sum, and some even only show the bullet cash back amount when cash rebates have accumulated to a certain amount.

Oh that's nice. We also get the choice points with cashback drool.gif

Option A: No interest charge since full settlement on amount owe.
Option B: You have to pay RM599 INTEREST for 12 months installments. How much can you get with that RM10k in hand initially (assuming you have it since you saying you are about to settle immediately) while paying RM833.33 every month.

There is no WAY for you to UNTUNG here (come on, what kind of untung you expected when you owing bank??)
*
He wants to find a way which will incur less interest

I only used 10,000 points to redeem the RM50 service tax. SCB reimbursed me 11,000 points 1 month later. So I still earn extra 1,000 points.

Will they automatically offer this?

Public Bank Classic and Gold cards now spark a new design. Somehow the Classic cards look more like a Platinum card than the actual Platinum card  rolleyes.gif

You would have to check if they have this facility. Some banks can turn it into installment for a fixed fee
