I just called to the CS of Eonbank, regarding the newly launched Visa Signature.

If you have another credit card with other bank (1 year), with CL of RM40,000, can apply for this card rclxms.gif

Visit their branch and try to get the application form this morning.
Surprisingly they not even have the application form, the staff ask me to fill up the normal(classic/gold) card application form and told me he will inform their card centre due to they still not receive the Visa Signature application form from their HQ.

Visa Infinite should be equivalent with World Mastercard Elite(which not valid yet in M'sia)
But I think it is going to launch soon, we shall wait and see........

No. VISA Signature is the equivalent of World MasterCard. VISA Infinite on the other hand is the equivalent of World MasterCard Elite.
LOL ! You beat me to it by 2 minutes approx. Anyway, don't think World MasterCard Elite will be launched in Malaysia anytime soon.
*
So, does this mean that in Malaysia market, Visa infinite still the highest class card?

No. It is not exactly new. HSBC USA offers it. It is a card partnered with the upscale department store, Saks Fifth Avenue.
*
Now only I know Visa Signature is having same status of World Mastercard. tongue.gif

Correct. By the way, besides HSBC USA, Citibank NA and BMO (Bank of Montreal) also offer the card. The one issued by Citibank NA is an airline card partnered with American Airlines which its users use to accumulate American Airlines AAdvantage miles.
*
What is your opinion of those Platinum Card partnered with other organization? I mean in Malaysia market.
I think all those "partnership" platinum card's requirement are lower that the generic platinum card. tongue.gif
Except for Enrich-CIMB card. tongue.gif

Can these type of Platinum card consider a "real" Platinum card? hmm.gif

Most of their requirements are indeed lower than the generic cards. Anyway, if one particular partnered card benefits me a lot, then yes. I will definitely jump into it without a second thought.
*
So have you apply for the EonBank VS already? tongue.gif

Hi Guys,

I'm planning to request for a Platinum card from Maybank and/or Citibank.

Does anyone here knows their yearly subscription charges? any FREE for life offers by any banks? what is the minimum salary to be eligible for this type of card?

Thanks in advance.
*
I think Citibank is much easier compare to MBB, for the platinum card.

RM550 and RM600 respectively. Anyway, Maybank does offer two VISA Platinum credit cards that are free for life. Both are the Petronas VISA card.
What do you mean by this? rolleyes.gif
Petronas Visa Card + Petronas Visa Card?

Hi Alec,

Yeah, I think so too.. lately MBB has been giving me very bad service when it comes to credit cards... I really think I want to cut their cards... but sadly because of Maybank2u it made me think twice...  cry.gif

Further to that their credit limit is so LOW!

Anyway, I'm keeping an eye up for any offers that is too good to resist tongue.gif
*
So you are currently using MBB credit card?

Hi Alec,

Yup, currently a MBB Petronas Gold card holder... but the charges is astronomical!!! 18% OMG!

Hi MilesAndMore,

Based on the min requirement... then I can't qualify... cry.gif nevertheless I am sure they will lower the limit or make an exception later on.

The main reason I want to apply is because I travel a lot... so the current limit I have is too low to pay for my hotels & stuffs... and my company only pays back after 2 weeks based on my claim submission date... so I really suffer... unless I can get higher credit limit on my card.
*
Mind to let us know your current CL? tongue.gif

*
No wonder you need a higher CL. sad.gif
As I know MBB is hard to get the increase of the CL. Maybe you just try on Citibank, hopefully will get a higher CL. smile.gif

The one issued by EON Bank is slightly better, but it is still not good enough as compared to other CCs offering bigger cash back and points.

Any example?

Well, if your main concern is "reward points" only, Amex Gold cc so far gives the most points for local transactions. As for overseas transactions, Alliance Plat cc, CIMB World MC and Amex also give x2 points, while SCB VI and SCB Plat cc give x5 points and x3 points respectively.

And of course, other Plat CCs do sometimes give x2 points for overseas transactions, but it is always temporary in nature.
*
Ok. I got what you mean now. smile.gif
Amex is the best card to earn points!! rclxms.gif
