The HSBC World MasterCard is not really a World MasterCard.
How to define?

HSBC World Premier MY privileges is unlike their counterparts in other countries.
In fact the MY privileges is about the same as the Platinum card. So why bother going for the premium card if the Platinum already suffice and not to mention the card design is wayyyy better.

OK. I get what you mean now. smile.gif

Finally got my Maybank Petronas Gold card cancelled and the RM50 reversal with TP transferred... nice work Maybank which took them ~7 days to complete.

No need to return the card...
*
You mean the RM50 tax was already charged and you cancelled the card, they refund to you the RM50?

The Premier MasterCard issued by HSBC Malaysia just is not a World MasterCard. HSBC only issues World MasterCard in USA, Australia and Japan. The rest are not World MasterCard despite what is printed on your card.
Just a question, what for they printed the "World" on the card? hmm.gif

All the HSBC Premier MasterCard in the world has the same design regardless which country it was issue from. That is the reason. It just so happens that they only offer a real World MasterCard in the three countries mentioned earlier.
*
I thought there is a different design for the real WMC for those three countries.
BTW, any idea that HSBC will issue VI?

Added on July 26, 2010, 12:18 pmFor those who have the CIMB WMC, I have a question on the free coffee at The Dome.

Do we have to mention this promotion when ordering the coffee?

This is not the place for you to look for agents nor agents are welcome to solicit here. Fastest to apply Ctibank card is go to the bank itself and you will get it in an hour or two.

All citibank branches? or limited to HQ only?

Just go to the Jln Ampang CitiBank , if you are keen on getting the card in 2 hours , better is go before 11 am to be safe. CIMB Card also provide 1 hour approval at their plaza damansara branch biggrin.gif
*
I knew CIMB do have this 1 hour approval card service, but I think it's limited to VI and WMC. rolleyes.gif
What about Citibank? All type of credit card? How about the CL?

*
Ok. Thank you. Maybe 1 day I will go and try it. tongue.gif

PS: some merchant need the cardmember to mention the promotion code to them, in order to get the promotion. rclxub.gif

Haha.... true. I am holding Maybank Visa and Petronas Visa for 5 years. I used it quite often and now my combined CL still 5k, even though the Petronas is a Gold card.
Anyway, who care? I going to terminate soon. Maybank is sucks and I donno why it is the number 1 bank in M'sia?
*
Well, I think Maybank treat me not bad. Last year I requested to increase me additional RM5K limit, and at last they increased RM10K for me.
For this year, I request again and still the same, they increased additional RM10K for me again. tongue.gif

I have been using Maybank CC for the past 10 years ago. smile.gif
