totally agree. But don;t you think is better to have an on going promotion which has been occuring for one year than a standard boring cash rebate

What I am concerned is that PBB is not going to extend the cash back promotion when I get the card, knowing that PBB has been running the promotion for quite some time now. PBB CCs are useless if no cash back is given.

The maximum cash back for overseas transactions during the promotion period is RM200 upon a cumulative spending of RM500, which is up to 40% cash back!

I checked with the CS again. It's confirmed that you will get RM60 cash back if you hit a cumulative spending of RM80 (regardless of how many swipes) within 60 days after the card approval date. However, you will need to pay the RM50 service tax in advance.

how long the credit card application be approved and sent to our home?

I am hesitating about applying for the card. If I were to apply, it will be via online application. To be frank, the Plat series looks awful.

What a pity. anyway just for my info, the friday 5% rebates have any capping ? Will card member gets RM150 rebate if he pays a RM3,000 TNB bill on Friday ?

Oh ! No monthly capping but annual capping at RM600.

EON bank also launch Visa Signature. Now every bank go to high level. So many choices.

I only have a Senator letter saying I have successfully completed my Degree and with such and such Class. Not sure if they will accept this.

By the way, HSBC is also giving out RM160 if you apply for this HSBC Advance VISA Platinum credit card online. I am so freaking tempted now   

A few years ago, right ? If this is the case, then yes. You are eligible for the RM160.
You will have to apply for the HSBC Advance first. I suppose they just expect you to make the deposit at their branch someday when you go to get your HSBC Advance ATM card.

Anyway, if you open the HSBC Advance online, you'll see a message that you'll be applying for the HSBC Advance VISA Platinum at the same time (see below).

Not necessarily so. Many have questions how it really works for Standard Chartered as people noticed that the rate after conversion for Standard Chartered credit card is constantly higher than many crediit card from many other leading banks in Malaysia.
