QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 12 2010, 07:50 PM) Called CIMB DA to clarify on few items. Apparently, the Senator letter is accepted. I'm going for the Gold one because I do not have any professional cert. Salary RM 30k p.a. will be eligible but they said actually RM 24k p.a. will also be accepted. Luckily mine has achieved its RM 30k requirement. Phew. Thanks guys for the information! I shall submit my application tomorrow. CIMB DA entry credit card is Gold Card. There's no classic from CIMB DA.

Those are not really called "avoiding" GST. Just that the banks are generous to absorb it because they want to gain/retain market share.

QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Jul 14 2010, 09:01 AM) guys, any card offers 12 months 0% balance transfer? .. .. QUOTE(roy918 @ Jul 14 2010, 09:07 AM) No. The best offer you can find now is 12 months 1% from CIMB 0% for 6-month BT or 1% for 12-month BT from CIMB and CIMB DA.

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jul 15 2010, 09:58 PM) I surrendered my MBB Petronas Gold Card to MBB Branch last year and today got statement got to pay RM50. Called MBB CS up (was surprised that I was connected to a CS rep promptly) and she said my card still active and will cancel it immediately. I'm assuming that you were cancelling your card right? Well previously I went to MBB branch to cancel my Visa Wave Classic and I also surrendered my card. Few weeks later, I called the CS to confirm that my card is really cancelled and all my TP have been transferred to another existing MBB CC.

I know DA can be cancelled through phone and the CS didn't specifically request to surrender the card to nearest branch. That's why I wanted to confirm if it's the same for MBB.

QUOTE(Eng_Tat @ Jul 22 2010, 05:40 PM) Any one know hw come Maybank visa CC only approve 1/2 of my HSBC visa CC Limit or 1/3 of Combine Limit v+M ??? I believe it's pretty normal for MBB to offer low CL. They offer me less than 1/2 of my CIMB DA limit.
