If the card requires activation before u can use it, then just don't activate it, you're safe.
*
But you'll still be charged for RM 50 GST right?

im using maybank's easy payment plan... the question is, i hav several months to go to for the installment to settle, but can i settle all the payment earlier since i got extra money now?
*
I believe it's pointless to do so since the outstanding amount of the installment isn't credited to your CC even though they have deducted the large sum from your available credit limit.

actually we can prepare the e-statement on our own sweat.gif
Just log in, view statement, then export as CSV. I choose PRINT SCREEN instead.  laugh.gif
*
That's not a proper e-statement. I doubt you can it officially if you want to perform let's say BT.

Most banks EPP in the T&C says will charge for early settlement. Contact CS to confirm if they'll actually charge.
*
I did hear somebody shared that for MBB EPP, no charges for early settlement.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Poor memory indeed! blush.gif

yes that's not the proper 1.
At the time being, this is what we can do at least.
I don't understand second sentence, can you please elaborate  smile.gif

If you want to perform a balance transfer to another CC from another bank, usually they require you to fax/include the first page of the CC statement.

It's specifically mentioned in T&C for Ezypayplus but not for Ezypay and BT. Best to ask them to confirm.
*
EzyPay and EzyPay Plus are two different scheme. EzyPay is an installment plan on the spot of purchase and done at merchant terminal.

EzyPay Plus is an installment plan to convert any large sum purchase into monthly repayment.

While Balance Transfer is to transfer a large sum of outstanding from another CC from another bank into monthly repayment.

All 3 will take away certain portion of your available credit limit. Usually, the first 2 will credit a monthly outstanding amount into you CC for repayment. Settling early is good but won't benefit much.

hi, i'm planning to get a credit card for convenience, may i know is CIMB visa card good? and i noticed from CIMB website that 1 of the documents required for application is "latest payslip", is 1 month latest payslip enough for application since it didnt mention how many months payslip required...?
*
CIMB and DA are more skwed to Mastercard.

Normally, they want 3 months of your most recent payslips.

Wanna to ask.. does cash advances will be put on interest if we pay only the minimum amount? HSBC Classic///
*
Yes it. It's charged on daily basis till you settled whatever outstanding amount.

Bear in mind that the interest is higher than the usual tiered interest.

You still have to pay for the cash advance fee too. It's not free to withdraw cash from CC.

Hi dear all,

Wanna ask, if i purchase a thing using cc, how i know it is 1 shot payment or under 0% interest easy payment plan?

Thanks.
*
If the merchant allows installment plan, then you have to ask them if they have any affiliation with the card that you're using.

There're two type of installment plans:

1. At the point of purhcase

- Usually 0% interest
- Usually no fee
- Only participated merchants

2. After swipe

- Not all banks have/offer
- Usually have to call to CS
- Convert a large sum of outstanding into monthly repayment
- May have fee
- May impose charge

hi,

did any recently experience the double charge on the petrol station?

last weekend, i use my Amex credit card to pump petrol at Shell Petrol station, and yesterday i noticed my un-billed transactions shown 2 same amounts of petrol being charged by the petrol station.

i called up the Maybank helpline. They advise me to go back to the petrol station and show them my amex credit card for them to checks and reverse the transaction!

pls take note on ur credit card!
*
When is the date of transaction?

There's some double entry transaction happened on 14th August.
