I dunno if this question has been asked before.

Does anyone know how can I pay my CIMB credit card bill through Maybank2u ?

Thanks.
*
Can ... via interbank or IBG funds transfer. In fact, you can execute the transfer from any banks.

I owned a Citibank Visa Signature issued in Singapore, and attach together with my payslip and income proof. But still dont know why hard to upgrade my card. But think normal case, my fren apply Gold card still getting such low CL, compare with Citibank Plat Spore with CL SGD24k. And today rcv a call from RHB inform that my Visa infinite issue out with CL RM100k, really low CL offer to those heavily card usage customer.
*
Yeah ... are you sure you applied for RHB VISA Infinite? Last I know ... they only issue this card to PB customers.
RHB PB customers RM200K deposit only qualifies for complimentary Gold card and Platinum need RM500K deposit. Infinite ... well definitely need a lots of moolah and that why their CL starts @ RM200K.

You apply for RHB cc in Malaysia or in Singapore? (Guys ... Singapore got RHB bank also)

Aiyah, less than RM10K CL not happy, get RM100K CL also not satisfied. Go apply a charge card like Amex instead where your "CL" is based on your spending pattern.
*
Yes ... I agree with this statement. Get RM100K CL not enough ... so what is the statement trying to be broadcast here ?
"My spending is more than RM100K per month"?

You can make payments either directly @ Citibank or interbank transfer facility.

PremierMiles is actually one step above Citi Platinum card. It is the Signature series under VISA family
Here's the general hierarchy Classic -> Gold -> Platinum -> Signature -> Infinite

Citibank lower the grade of Premier Miles and cash back platinum card to hit the market.
But one think i am not sure that if I take the cash back platinum /premier mines card to apply another bank cc, will they approve for the same class cc?
*
I think it depends on other banks CL/Card type policy. E.g You can't be using a Platinum to apply for another Platinum if your Platinum CL is just RM5K right?
Other banks will be able to see your CL and determine your eligibility.

It is from HSBC.

Should be able to but give it a try. Judging from your CL, it should be possible.
The final decision lies with Citibank's credit and risk control department in deciding whether you qualify for the card or not. Many other factors will be taken into account and not just your CL.

I am rather hesitant to give a definite answer as anything can happen and your application would not go through. Plus, it is not an entry level card where it is easier to predict as the decision mainly lies on your income.

Suddenly i've been charged Annual membership fees by Citibank although i've been promised it's a free for life card when i applied years ago..Can i call them up and ask them to waive it?
*
I think the promise is made verbally to you by the agent as Citibank will never officially mention that their cards are free for life nor they have any Free For Life cards. If it is not in B&W then there is no such thing ... I often come across the agents saying this verbally (there's no B&W agreement right ?) to get customers to sign up. Only SCB provides B&W agreement at the point of application.

You may call in for the waiver but the waiver is not automatic and will be subjected to the bank's discretion.

Initially i want citibank and hsbc, due to the discounts given at shopping and dining

so i apply for citibank 1st, after some time (less than 1 year ) i apply for HSBC. so i need to give my epf statement, but that time i cant get the latest EPF statement due to KWSP prob...so i ma say nvm, i dont want the card lo

then few months back i apply for HSBC card again, this time my citibank already more than 1year liao, but when submit HSBC decline my card, say they can't check my card info. i say nvm lo, i give u my epf statement, again decline!

wafark???

i settle all my outstanding balance almost every month, in tier 1 (financial charge) for my citibank, and already got the citibank gold card, and was decline by HSBC?

so forget it HSBC, go dai lol

Please skip the vulgarities in this thread nor it is tolerated, we are a bunch of well educated guys here. Even though you are upset, there are other words which you can use to express yourself. It is well known that HSBC is the toughest card to apply in town. If you are using a card which is more than 1 year old as reference would not guarantee you yet.

Even myself has been rejected by banks before ... it's normal so don't get upset.

ok la...now change to those...? better? or still bad?

forget this is not lifestyle forum...paiseh....

and i never know HSBC is toughest to apply eh...

and btw, i am not upset, just funny on their comment on "can't find by card although more than 1 year"

it's even more funnier since citibank is upgrading mine to plat now and hsbc reject mine not long ago lol

Added on July 22, 2010, 3:28 pmeh another thing is...when banks reject...do they normally give you the reasons?

i never apply for other bank before since i don't like thick wallet, 1 or 2 cards will do for  me...
*
When banks reject you, they will not give you the reason. Nor are they compelled to send you a rejection notice.
If you call the CS (any banks) actually they can't see the reason for the rejection. On their screen would be "Application rejected" only. And you can't ask them to ask the credit control for the reason. Many can't understand this and always think CS don't want to tell them ... actually they really don't know !!

HSBC will reject you for a wide variety of reasons because they are strict ! This credit control practice is applicable to all banks.

Examples for rejection ... paying bills every month is not enough but is the payment on time and adequate to cover the 5% ?
Do you have any delinquencies in other banks ? Are you blacklisted in CCRIS or CTOS ? Are all your debts are paid on time ?

As you can see ... HSBC checks all these (and more). If you fail any then you will fail the application. Other banks may have lesser checks thus it is easier.

Risk Management
If they follow your request means that your debt to earning ratio is huge. (They can see this in their system as your info is shared across all banks) They are limiting the CL they give to you so that
- They still want your business. Give you a bit and maybe you will cancel the other cards.
- Your debt to income ratio is much more manageable.
- They don't expose themselves to NPL in the event you default on your cards. Proactive move ya ... they are not saying you are a bad person.

You will be surprised at the number of bank staff who are still unfamiliar with Visa Signature and Infinite. Visa Signature is higher than Platinum. I got my Premier Miles card via my Visa Platinum. I did not submit a fresh application. I was told  by quite a high ranking officer that even their existing plat card holderrs must have a minimum credit limit of 30K before they are eligible for the Premier Miles.More than half the plat card holders nowadays have a credit limit below 30K.  Visa Signature comes with a priority pass membership card which entitles you to use the VIP lonunges at certain airports. Visa Platinum doesnt accord that privilage. Well in terms of looks the permier miles card is the best looking card Citibank has issues to date. I like the design more than anything else
*
Agreed. Even if the statement that Citibank downgrades the status of this card was true, I'll still go for this card. Card design is one of the best in the market and if not the best. Caution on the VIP lounge because the access level is limited if you were to compare it to SCB's Infinite lounge access privilege. CS level would certainly be better than MBB anytime of the day.

I don't really blame the bank staff not knowing the product well coz sometimes (or often) the product is launched and the info to the CS is not done properly yet. Added to the complexity that Citibank has so many card variants.

Is only a total of RM41K cash back per week and based on "first-come, first-served basis" and also odd and complicated timing to remember and spend. I doubt card member can get the full cash rebate as advertised.
*
I hate these complicated programs and added to the complexity is where there is a probability the rebate is not even going to be there after you qualify.

Does anyone noe how much is the min swipe for PB credit card? Which bank is providin d lowest interest rate?
*
If the merchant allows you to swipe for RM0.10, you may do so. Min swipe has nothing to do with the bank ... it is the merchant prerogative as with every transaction they need to pay fees to the bank. And if you got enough CL, the sky is the limit - if you want to buy a plane and Boeing allows you to swipe your card ... yes you can do so also.

Lowest interest rate ? All banks apply the same interest rate bro ... this is not like commercial loans where you can compare and go for the lowest.

How to define?

HSBC World Premier MY privileges is unlike their counterparts in other countries.
In fact the MY privileges is about the same as the Platinum card. So why bother going for the premium card if the Platinum already suffice and not to mention the card design is wayyyy better.

Bro ... there's a simple rule when you are dealing with card agents. If the promise is not in writing then it is probably too good to be true. It is mentioned in here many times already.

In my case i have different anniversary with expiry , its on my CIMB VI , expiry 06/14 , but charged GST on april . CS also unable to explain and i dont pursue further as i am going to keep the card.
I have the same situation as well but I know why.
I have several cards with SCB and the bank followed the anniversary month of the very 1st card I had with them. Over the years, I have changed cc products and although they are not applied in the same month of the 1st card ... all my cards with SCB use that month (1st card).

Well ... generally the cc anniversary should correspond with the expiry month of your cc. Only in few cases would it differ.

This is not the place for you to look for agents nor agents are welcome to solicit here. Fastest to apply Ctibank card is go to the bank itself and you will get it in an hour or two.
