No, this is not the place to ask, iMac uses standard 3-pin power supply cable. Just go and buy any PSU power cord that is fused. Don't use those that have no fuse in them. If you want to get back the white/gray Apple cord, you can order from service center, might cost you around RM50.

I'm buying a Dell monitor for my MBP and it has 2 video inputs: DVI and DisplayPort. Since Apple did not produce mini DP to DP adapter, I'm wondering which connection will produce best video display.

1. MBP>mini DP to DVI adapter>DVI cable>monitor
2. MBP>mini DP to HDMI adapter>HDMI to DP cable>monitor
3. MBP>mini DP to DP adapter(Need to order from abroad)>DP cable>monitor

If there are better options, do suggest them to me.

Doesn't matter.

DVI/HDMI/DP all carry digital signal. Meaning one end send 0101 you get that same 0101, else you will get error. That won't improve picture quality. Unlike analog system where we have issue on cable quality.

But if you are buying some cheap knock-off adapter, don't blame anyone but yourself
