Nice setup bro..but isn't it difficult to turn on your mb? I mean you have to open the lid first right? looks too troublesome every time you want to switch on when you arrange it that way..

I was wondering what software/setup I need to do so that my external display works while my Macbook White is closed.... I am sorry if this question has been asked before =/

Plug in the power adapter, plug in any usb device such as external hdd or keyboard or mouse. Close the lid, then wake your mb using your secondary keyboard. That's it smile.gif

is it worth getting the imac now? any future upgrades?

It's totally worth it to get iMac now because apple just recently refresh them. Future iMac refresh should be 8 to 12 months from now.

I'm buying a Dell monitor for my MBP and it has 2 video inputs: DVI and DisplayPort. Since Apple did not produce mini DP to DP adapter, I'm wondering which connection will produce best video display.

1. MBP>mini DP to DVI adapter>DVI cable>monitor
2. MBP>mini DP to HDMI adapter>HDMI to DP cable>monitor
3. MBP>mini DP to DP adapter(Need to order from abroad)>DP cable>monitor

If there are better options, do suggest them to me.

@wei Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll just go for the first option since I already got the Apple mini DP to DVI adapter and also the maximum resolution of my new monitor is just 1920X1080 @ 60 Hertz. But I really wanted to try the DP though. Sigh.. tongue.gif

edited to update my setup with the new monitor smile.gif
