QUOTE(befitozi @ May 15 2010, 12:09 AM) For me, I don't really expect goals from Berbatov. As long as he puts in effort and actually run to play. Seen him done it, against Stoke and Sunderland or good examples. He definitely has the ability to do it. Heck i rate him as the most skillful player in the team. It's his workrate which makes me dislike him. Really really much. Thats why Forlan was loved by the fans even though he doesn't score as much. Well what would you expect from someone has the confidence of a failure? The supporters are not getting on his back. They expect him to score loads of goals. Criticism often flying here and there. Same can be said of Carrick as well. LETS SING BECAUSE WE ARE WINNING!!!

QUOTE(IcyDarling @ May 15 2010, 03:24 PM) we need a midfielder that can score goals. Against small team, we can leave out Carrick and put that particular midfield scorer. Just like Lampard, score a lot when against small team Lampard scored like half of them from penalties.

why not take a look as a whole? This doesn't include assists.
The reason that Sheringham wasn't being criticized because of his goal in UCL final Treble year.
And the reason Berba is criticized because of his price tag, 30m.
Why not blame SAF? He bought him for 30m. So, f*** SAF.

QUOTE(O-haiyo @ May 15 2010, 04:37 PM) ok ..keep playing him till 34, while our youngster rot on the bench. Thats better ain't in? btw, im not saying we should sell him, but just hope that he can perform better.Cut him some slack then. What do you expect of someone that has no confidence? As long as he don the colors, show him some respect. And your sarcasm doesn't help. Oh and about the price tag, it wasn't him that asked to be sold 30m pounds, did he? QUOTE(IcyDarling @ May 15 2010, 05:11 PM) but the number still looks impressing . Which game was it that he scored 4?Think that time Drogba was out for African Nation Cup. We need someone like him to take over when Rooney is not available.. Berbatov couldnt deliver when we need him to. I rather rely on Macheda True though. The goals should be shared among the midfielders as well.

QUOTE(Pain_X @ May 16 2010, 03:30 PM) I would love it if we get Buffon. I always believed he was/is the best keeper in the world. Would this deal be good enough for Juve : Foster + 15 million pounds = Buffon. ? Juve will value Buffon somewhere in the region of 25m pounds ++. Foster isn't even 7m pounds I think? Anyway, that Chelsea troll is always full of dung lah. Why bother to entertain him?

QUOTE(pisces88 @ May 17 2010, 11:21 PM) sigh. there goes torres:( So, you reckon we should buy him? QUOTE(dynames07 @ May 18 2010, 09:11 AM) sorry to interrupt. i think in the case of figo, he is an idol during his time with barca and he when he jump ship, he directly go to the rival club. that is why he get the pig head. in the case of owen, he was once a liverpool hero but he already play for real madrid and newcastle before joining man utd. the same goes for campbell. however, in the case of torres, he is still a figure and idol at athletico madrid, even though he is with liverpool now. if he indeed go to real madrid, i'm positive he will get the pighead also. Ask any Liverpool supporters regarding Owen when he joined us?

Fergie unlikely to spend bigSoccernet» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Sir Alex Ferguson may add just one more player to his Manchester United squad this summer as he plots to regain the Premier League title from Chelsea.
United chief executive David Gill has indicated funds are available to his manager to spend this summer, but Ferguson revealed he is happy with the balance of his squad, which finished a point behind Chelsea in the title race.
The United manager has already signed rising Mexican star Javier Hernandez from Guadalajara and defender Chris Smalling from Fulham, and a raft of new faces had been expected to follow. But Ferguson will place his trust his existing squad and his latest crop of youth and reserve players if he is unable to pinpoint any new signings.
Ferguson said: "In the market today it's very, very difficult and the structure of our squad is good in terms of ages, the balance, the numbers and there's a lot of good young players. Sometimes you have to trust in all the development of the last few years and I'm going to stick with that, or most of it.
"There may be one signing and maybe we'd like to get a good player to the club, of course, but it's not easy in the present day climate and I've nothing definite to tell you because we're still assessing whoever's available and the difficulties in terms of who you'd bring in."
Gill added: "Hernandez and Smalling are signings we've already made and the other point to bear in mind is that the Premier League is bringing in squad limits next year of 25, which we clearly operate [in European competitions] but is now coming to the Premier League.
"There will be unlimited under-21s and other rules and we'll be taking all that into consideration."
To that end, Ferguson also revealed he would not be replacing goalkeeper Ben Foster with a new signing, instead promoting England Under-21 international Ben Amos to the first-team squad alongside Edwin Van der Sar and Tomasz Kuszczak.
Foster is close to completing a £6 million move to Birmingham and the United manager is confident 20-year-old Amos has a bright future at Old Trafford.
"When we decided to let Ben (Foster) go, we were in the process of letting a good young goalkeeper, Ben Amos, go out on loan," Ferguson said.
"He's in the England Under-21 team but we can only accommodate three goalkeepers. So when the situation with Ben's future at Manchester United came into it and we agreed to let him go, we stopped Ben Amos from going on loan. He will now be our third goalkeeper, he's very talented and has a good future ahead of him."
All three keepers are likely to travel across the Atlantic with the United squad this summer. The club will have a training camp in Chicago followed by friendlies against Celtic in Toronto on July 16, the Philadelphia Union in Philadelphia on July 21, the Kansas City Wizards in Kansas four days later, and the MLS All-Stars in Houston on July 28.
Ferguson will give his World Cup players leave of absence from the tour, which will move on to Mexico and a game against Guadalajara, which was agreed as part of the deal to sign 21-year-old forward Hernandez.
Depending on Mexico's progress in South Africa, Hernandez is pencilled in to feature in the game.
Ferguson added: "It depends when his last game is for Mexico. Normally we give the players 28 days' rest but in the case of Hernandez we'll bring him to Philadelphia as soon as his games with Mexico are finished.
"The simple reason is he's young and I think he can handle coming in for training but, more importantly, it's for him to integrate into the squad because he doesn't know any of the players." Muppets can go hang themselves!!

Eight of those named must be aged 21 or under and must also qualify as ‘home-grown’.
To qualify as home grown, a player will have had to be registered for at least three seasons at an English or Welsh club between the ages of 16 and 21.But...but.. in FM... it's so easy... I can see some teams are going to dieeeeeeeeeee next season. Arsenal should be fine though.
