QUOTE(boxsystem @ May 7 2010, 11:32 AM) are you being sarcastic or what? carrick has been here for almost 4 seasons already, no? eh wtf. i must be an idiot to think that way.On 10 April 2007, Carrick scored his first European goals, netting two long- range curlers against Roma in United's 7–1 victory in the quarter finals of the Champions League at Old Trafford. He opened the scoring with his first, thus setting United on their way to the semi finals, and netted the sixth of United's seven - Wikipedi let me rephrase that. Berbatov 1st season - woah. Berbatov 2nd season - ?!?! Carrick 1st n 2nd season - awesome! Carrick 3rd n 4th season - !??!?! this is from my point of view, of course. pardon my french if my facts are incorrect. |

in the papers today that carrick is wanted by redknapp back to spurs.unless they can give us bale+modric i dont se any reason carrick being shipped out
besides he still an important part of the squad would be pointless to sell him.imo he will shine for us after wc.a more matured player i see him in the future. QUOTE The manager has said he'll look at things in the summer with regard to new signings. He also revealed that he's had a chat to Ben Foster about his future and admitted he isn't sure what's going to happen with the England goalkeeper. hoo so will he stay or will he leave???btw valneca is out for the stoke game wth an ankle injury. Rooney - Best season yet
QUOTE Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney hopes the best season of his career so far can be capped with a Premier League winner's medal. The United marksman has been in scintillating form this term and currently tops the league's scoring chart alongside Didier Drogba with 26 goals so far. Ten of those goals have come with his head and the England ace went on an amazing hot streak which saw him hit 19 goals in 15 games before picking up an ankle injury against Bayern Munich in March. Rooney admits the departures of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid and Carlos Tevez to Manchester City have given him the chance to play more centrally, but knows his good form will count for little if the Red Devils do not pip Chelsea to the post. "This has been my best season. I have scored a lot of goals and my overall play has been good," he said in the Daily Express. "It has definitely been my most prolific season and I'm pleased with the way things have gone. "But it would complete it all if we could clinch the title. We are still in with a chance. We have to win our match against Stoke and then if Wigan can do us a favour that would be great. "We can't do anything else than win our game and hope. Let's see what happens on Sunday. "Losing Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez took a lot of goals away from the team. I knew I'd have to score more. Difference "It has also meant that I have played up front all season and that has made a big difference to my game. "It was a big loss but we still have good players here. We just knew that we had to work hard and find a new way of playing. "We have managed to do that. There have been ups and downs along the way, but we've done well." United need Wigan to stop Chelsea winning at Stamford Bridge if they are going to stand a chance of reaching the summit on the final day of the season. But Rooney has issued a formidable warning that whatever happens he will improve next year and come back an even stronger player. "I want to improve on all aspects of my game - scoring and creating goals," he added in the club's official magazine. "That's why I stay behind every day to practise." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6138357,00.html For some of us here, to see Wazza finally stepping up like he did this season is not bad at all |

QUOTE(yhtan @ May 7 2010, 08:03 PM) no market in Australia, what for they going there? you must be kidding me, Aussie's soccer reputation is one of the most high rising in recent years , with the sports being played here as common as the Aussie rule Football, and you can see the Australian soccer team is getting stronger as year goes by. Honestly, the potential here is very big. I would like to think if Man Utd wanna go global, why it's always an alternate of Asia-US-Asia-US most of the time? They've even to African countries, because they wanna start promoting, so if u say Australia no market, why not start promoting as well? They can do an Oceania tour if they want, with countries like Australia and NZ being part of it. Not to mention it is a cold climate here during pre-season in June, get away from the summer heat. Lots of reasons i can think of actually.Asia market is the biggest among all the contingent I already got the chance to meet up with the team in Doha, but have yet to watch them play together in a real match, even in a non competitive match. Missed out on the Malaysia tour last year coz studying here This post has been edited by pyroboy1911: May 7 2010, 08:46 PM |

Evans another 4 years
QUOTE Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed defender Jonny Evans has signed a new four-year contract with the club. Jonny Evans has become an integral part of Manchester United's first-team squad Evans, 22, has firmly established himself as first-choice back-up to Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic since making his first-team breakthrough at United in 2007. Ferguson demonstrated his belief in the Northern Ireland international's ability when he allowed Gerard Pique to leave for Barcelona in 2008, and Evans has repaid his manager's faith by performing consistently when called upon to replace Ferdinand or Vidic. read more : soccernet |
