I suggest you meet up with the pro shop dude near your place, ask him to watch you play one or two games.
He can give best advice afterwards.

too many factors to explain here hehe

Other than that you can do research on your own.
My way, i played straight until consistently got 150.
After that only i started to play hook.

hi there! newbie bowler here biggrin.gif

nak tanya sedikit, how to adjust the wrist guard in a proper way? im using a revcon now, which level that i need to cup my wrist and angle my wrist left or right for beginner?? using this device because my wrist always break when im releasing the ball, using 14lbs ball currently.

its hard for me to get a consistent release sad.gif sometimes it hits the pocket, sometimes hook too early, sometimes into the gutter sad.gif any tips??

is it normal that my thumb joint (near the palm, joint that connect thumb to palm, haha) feel painful? after 4 games terus "bengkak" and swelling, and last for few days. Because drilling problem ke, i need to drill to make bevel a bit?

sorry, questions from beginner tongue.gif

Arrow 2 on the right - starting from which board? And target which board? All bowlers i know who play that arrow are strokers, they dont need strong hook ball for that.
Maybe u can share more info?

Lane is heavy oil?

You can send your balls for resanding. But too deep scratches cant be recovered.

I'm bowling from this arrow and hooking in to the pocket... my problem when it comes into heavy oiling... at the back end, my current bowling ball will over hook the pocket... if the oil has dried after sometime, my hook is okay... worst if bowling on synthetic lanes... I'm now using Ebonite Tomahawk High Torque Bomb 16 lbs...

Actually how does resanding helps with the bowling ball? My ball has some deep scratches... more like peeled like... but small... is it time to change ball?

As i thought, stroker! Heh iinm that ball is med/heavy oil ball. Still can play in heavy oil but you need to adjust swing strength. Sorry not pro, so dont take my word on this.
As for the dmg, if already too heavy dmg, resanding wont help. Ask the pro shop guy smile.gif

anyone playing in Cyberjaya? Used to play either in Endah or Sunway, but since Cyberjaya has its own bowling center now and closer to my place, I've switched base. Pretty decent lane.

If anyone wants to play together, do let me know... smile.gif
