I only can rely on body build in AF motor, the motor in lens doesn't work.

May I know how many AF motor D90 Kit have? 1 or 2? I though lens got 1 and body got 1? or both work together?

18-105VR's front head wont turn that's why the petal shaped hood >.<

The focusing is internal, not external like 18-55mm. So you can't possibly turn the front part and if you can then the lens must have some problem. Don't try to force turn it >.<

ohh...
i checked website state that the D90 body itself have built in AF motor, so lens motor work together with D90 body af motor?

Another question
af-c does not work when we use monitor rite?
my af-c only able to work in viewfinder.

>.< check the lens name, it's AF-S 18-105mm VR. AF-S means it can AUTOFOCUS on any nikon dslr like d40~d3s. If it's AF-D or AF then it can only autofocus in bodies with BUILT IN MOTOR.

So, 18-105mm can autofocus in d90 and entry levels like d40. But if u turn off the lens af the body won't af the lens. vice versa.

woi, thanks for the details
