Mine hinge is black in color. The guy who sold told this is the latest. What shape is your bounce card? Mine's trapezium and is really thin. My friend has the old one, the bounce card is square and thick, he got it quite sometime ago. I got mine during March.

when launch doesnt matter as long can use enough already  there are also imitation dembs around the market also selling around the same price cause they are exact look-a-like minus the demb prints

my Di866 can only fires when its in the Group A.. dont matter what channel it is..
change to Group B and it wont fires..

and yes, it have to be in line with the transmitter (camera body) because the sensor can detect it from the front only.. :sigh:

I thought SB900 can control 3 groups, SU800 probably 4 groups? Didn't know there was a max amount of flash wor? My friend triggered 6 SB900 together on D300 before anyways, but all using same channel and group for TTL.

That will hold me back from getting di866 in the future because like di622, it needs to be in line with the camera body. But then di622 has firmware upgrade so that it can be radio triggered, but i dunno why di866 cannot.

Anyway, di866 has a plastic mount and the screen too small... but it's almost half price of a sb900

i use to have alot of problem using my d80 as commander and di866 as the slave
Alot of misfired but when i got my d90 liao, i have never misfire any shot so far
maybe my d80 commander mode not sensitive, because i tried shoot without the IR facing my d90

No sb900 no need face the IR *provided your camera is using commander flash, not just normal pop up flash*

cuz sb600 also no need face IR on my fren's D80. the sb600 can be triggered even though it's about one room away (with both doors opened) and behind the camera.

Nic, time to get a SU800 or a body with commander flash

No lah, strobist isn't really important in your range of photography. I need lah cuz i shoot more close ups (not macro) like figures. 50mm f1.8 will be my next haul =S

Bought my D90 yesterday and yet I'm a first time user of DSLR..
Going to Taiwan later today together with my D90..
Very much a newbie, hence, would like to ask all the sifus here, for a newbie like me, and since it's very urgent for me to immediately get used to using the camera since I'm traveling, with the only Nikon 18-55mm lens available, and pictures that I would most probably taking are landscape with frens in front, nice food, interesting things/view along the streets in Taiwan, what sort of aperture and ISO should I start with?

I know my question seems very noob, but again apologize for not being able to learn enough before proceeding to my travel as I just got my camera late yesterday. Hope you guys can help. Thanks in advanced.
