Last time when canon mugs were released at first no local seller, all ordered overseas and it was expensive. Now someone's selling at garagesales for just RM50.

So we should wait for someone to do the bulk... Cuz none of us know where to get the stock with cheap price too. I hope someone can get for us ^^ the 2470 is so cool and looks so real!

Wah, nice mugs! Last time was the Canon's now the Nikon's version  . But the Canon version was kinda pricey for a mug =/

eekang, using area mode for AF?

Use single point AF, focus at the eyes. That is the proper focus for a portraiture shot. Unless you're trying to emphasize on something else maybe then diff story.

Focus on the eyes (half press on shutter), recompose and shoot. I usually use the nearest AF point when recomposing. When really no choice then I use middle point and recompose (sometimes cannot focus with the other points as only they aren't cross sensors . One reason why I wanna go up to 51AF point of the higher range bodies T_T)

That 51AF point got 15 cross sensors inside. D90 only has one in middle. In single AF mode, you can change the point using the directional button.

Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 VC might be a good choice for your budget.

Not issue with D90, it is just the QC of the lens. Just send it for calibration and it works fine.

Yeap, this lens cost below RM2k, the Nikkor 17-55 f/2.8 cost about RM5k.

Depends on luck really, my friends changed 4 units all also got OOF issue. Had to send the last one back for calibration with body. Now alright already.

My friend's case he did not send his body there. Futuromic borrowed a D300s unit from the Nikon center for calibration.

Before i bought my nikon 24-85mm lens, i tried sigma and tamron lens first and then only the nikon. Didnt get the 3rd party ones because im not confident with its built quality. The tamron lens i tried had a front focus issue too  

Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 - RM2150
Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 - RM1780
Nikon 24-85mm F2.8-4 - RM1850

Not that cheap also so might aswell get nikon one although its not constant F2.8 lens
