I think flash gun is quite important for night time shooting. sad.gif
Yeah, I've been eyeing on those two as well, is there a big gap in terms of performance between f1.4 and f1.8?
*
the 1.4 is build solid with nice sharp image at f2 above , need not compare the bokeh from a 1.4 compared to the 1.8 smile.gif
if u love 50mm , u should go for the 1.4 , if not a 50 1.8 would serve u well in that range.

Thanks a lot. smile.gif
Anywhere I can get them?
*
which one ?? u can get em anywhere u want, just study the market price for it, no point going so far away just because its 10 or 20 ringgit different right ?
50mm 1.4 should be rm1000 below
50mm 1.8 (rm450 below)
sb600 ( rm850 below)
nissin di622 ( rm450 below)

if u can get cheaper than that for a new one, thats your bargaining skill smile.gif

if its for me myself would prefer to go for secondhand stuff which there is alot of em well taken care and sell in a cheaper price even still in warranty.
got my af-d 50mm 1.4 for only rm850 from a seller that bought it for rm990 (used only for 2 months) left me a rm 850 lens with another 8 months warranty smile.gif

For me i'd go with SB900 terus because when i got my flash, i totally ignore the 50mm F1.8 already laugh.gif because the main reason ppl like the prime is for low light (and of course bokeh) use but if you like to take low light photos without flash, get the F1.4 one. Does a superb job smile.gif
*
flash gun is a must have for those who get use to it and know how it save the day. When we talk about primes, its the quality at that precise ranges.
Large aperture and flash is 2 different topics smile.gif

rm1500 budget, not even enough for new sb900 sad.gif

poison slow slow lar bro

y not try 35mm F1.8. tis IQ performance is Nice & Gd.
*
i think nikon created that lens to target those using the beginner SLRs without the build in focusing motors.
With the d90 ability to use a wider range of lens, a 35mmf2 would be much more better,
one would prefer the af-d 50 1.8 which is more cheaper and serve better than the 35mm f1.8 .
Worse thing is, its a DX lens, u wont be needing it if u get to jump FF in the future.
having 1 or 2 DX lens is still ok if u jump FF, more than that would be pain .

Hello all,

i am going to buy D90 in 2 weeks time. Is there any promotion going on for Nikon ni KL? which mall?

I will probably buying using credit card installment scheme. Anyone can share their experience on buying DSLR using installment? coz in my place, Nikon D90 price
cash = RM 3.4k
Installment = RM 3888.88

Thanks for sharing.
*
why so expensive for installment??
do u have credit card?
some credit card do offer installment plan after purchase, example : pay the full amount at rm3400( shop will charge u 2% on top of the price)
then call the bank and request to make an installment plan on that purchase smile.gif

top up more 100 then can ady...tongue.gif

it depends lor, if i got no car at home, i would prefer to buy 2 honda city for me and my wife
instead of buying 1 honda accord only for both.
Got 2 things to play more fun mah
there are places that flash is prohibited so comes the large aperture lens to the rescue instead of relying too much on it alone tongue.gif
with his budget for 2 items okay lar
When he is ready for more, who knows he ll sell everything and go for d3s ..... rclxm9.gif

lot of people praise the first version of tamron 17-50 non build in motors.
Tamron should just fired those in quality control dept because of all the problem face by tamron user.

Damage done... RM4200, lens + filter >.<!

But this lens really surprised me, the AF-S motor is super silent! As compared to my 70-200 or my kit lens.
