im not sure, mayb SB900 max is 8 flash units?

*searching for SB900 manual now  tongue.gif
the in line thingy, i dunno issit the same with SB900?
for SB900 to be slave u nid have the IR receiver facing the cam too
*
i use to have alot of problem using my d80 as commander and di866 as the slave
Alot of misfired but when i got my d90 liao, i have never misfire any shot so far
maybe my d80 commander mode not sensitive, because i tried shoot without the IR facing my d90

I guess the lighting isn't that even and quite harsh. Try using the PRE method to meter any white surface.

k is easier than pre for me smile.gif

i am using af-s lens ~
*
i m not sure whether they have af/mf switch on the d40 family a not
for the d90, u can switch off the auto focus by switching from camera or lens itself because af's lens offered the switch as well.

for the af-D lens, i can only switch to manual focus on the camera af/mf switch.

I dont think we can choose to use the build in motors or the lens focusing motors.
I guess af-d lens automatically communicate with the cameras to enable autofocusing.
Af-s lens work the same.
Rumors is that af-s lens tend to focus much faster and quieter compare to the af-d smile.gif

just my 2 cent

I think I got mine for RM50 or RM55, Nikon ML-L3. I went with Nikon since the price differences so little. Better get original unless the Phottix outperforms it or something, but haven't tried the Phottix.

didnt use my d80 wired remote for so long and only found out cannot be use with d90 vmad.gif

Weird, it should be 1 NEF and 1 JPEG. Setting issue maybe? Check and try again.

i triple checked because i only use raw for editing, got 2 files for each shoot, both same JPEG stating the same file size sad.gif

transfer using nikon transfer(the bundled software). d90 doesnt act like a thumbdrive via cables.
*
are u sure about this, what about the way we transfer using card reader?

I've been playing with my D90 with kit lens, and now the kit lens can't satisfied me, result is quite bad on low light condition. I think I should get a flash and a new lens. Budget around 1.5K for both. Any recommendation?

af-D 50mm f1.4 and nissin di622
or
af-d 50mm f 1.8 and Nikon SB600
