Heard Hyundai might launch in Dec-2011 BUT can only get car sometime in Feb or Mar-2012 onwards....

nobody mentioned 1.8 elantra is 120000, but i was saying, IF 1.8 elantra is same price as 1.8 civic, nobody will buy elantra. ( this implies, elantra is not same par with civic, if it needs to win, it needs to price lower.)

i have nothing against you, and hyundai or even korean car, worry not.

but let me tell you one thing, even your hyundai SD malaysia understand their strategy very well.

lower price + higher spec = korean car strategy.

i dont care about what car you drive whatever, mostly car salesman driving wira only ( because they have nothing to show off, unlike young fresh graduates. )

if you think ppl dont care about resale value, let me tell you one thing, hyundai is not the brand (yet) for ppl to sacrifice  resale value. Peugeot, yes, bmw, yes, MB, yes, alfa romeo, yes.

if your elantra is selling at <rm 100,000, its shows your higher management is smarter than you, thus they are higher management, so, worry not, the car can sell.

4 spec : 1.6 Manual/Auto standard, 1.6 high spec, 1.8 premium spec. 1.6 is MPI engine, not GDI. FC is as good if not better than Japanese counterpart of same cc.

AT is 6 speed. Need to ask if MT is 6 speed as well.

A lot of accessories seen on sonata and tucson has been transferred over to the Elantra.

Sunroof is single pane motor driven conventional sunroof, less worry about full broken roof. Only on the 1.8 variant.

1.8 has integrated gps and reverse camera system and auto cruise, dual zone auto air conditioners with auto defog.

Launching is expected to be January/Febuary 2012. Pricing? Head of sales say 'not cheap' so cannot really expect it to be priced near previous Elantra anymore.

The logo can change but how the quality ckd compare with cbu,especially the dashboard ,hope not look too plastic!

Don't worry. Price will be out soon, another two months. Enjoys xmas, NY, CNY first...

Car is launching in Febuary. There will be 5 colour choice to choose from and there's rumour that 2 more colours will be added later on.

Yeah they still sell, but in pathetic amounts compared to the next segment up in the same stables. 5,178 Altis sold from Jan-Oct 2011 compared to 5 Yaris sold LOL... 6,121 Civics sold compared to 457 units of Jazz.
