Even my fren who drive 2nd hand City also having issue with the service, part expensive, etc. But Japanese car's reputation built in Malaysia is strong enough and no easy to be replaced. Some ppl (especially those uncles) choose Toyota only know ppl said it's good without compare to other brand and followed blindly, the older model of Vios and Camry is really good even after 10 years but more competitors are improved a lot. So japanese car is not the only choice nowadays yet Korea car need to improve the after sales service, which is important to a car buyer

QUOTE(tunasandwich @ Dec 25 2011, 02:20 PM) off topic... is the honda civic consider ckd or is it cbu? Civic? I thought the flood which impact the Honda factory directly might delay the launching date next year, if the external look for the new Civic is exactly what we saw from the internet then a bit disappointed.

QUOTE(WheelieWonka @ Dec 27 2011, 07:48 PM) "C segment car with C segment price" means it will be priced like Civic and Altis, but with more equipment. With Malaysian's mentality stuck at everything with a T & H logo, this means ppl will still say "same price as Civic mah, why u buy this??" See what I mean...? That's why SD has to undercut the Japs to steal some sales away from T & H Only 1.8CC and above considered C segment? How about 1.6CC one, btw many features like smart key doesn't came in Civic and Altis. So how to justify Elantra and Civic as C segment?

If the dashboard always explored under hot sun, will it be cracked after few years? What is the material that built for dashboard to protect it?

QUOTE(kevin23 @ Dec 28 2011, 01:05 PM) Dont understand why u guys can argue on a car that is not gonna sell well in msia. It looks fluidic but step inside and its all cheapo material plus the usual unrefined korean drivetrain. After arguing so long, bet hardly any of u will buy this junk And this elantra looks like a dugong too. If vios is baby dugong, this is papa dugong.. Kia optima design still acceptable but drivetrain is crap and interior looks so cheapskate for that money Your eyes got problem

QUOTE(DiamondBar @ Dec 31 2011, 01:40 AM) I doubt this Hyundai Avante can sell well in Malaysia. Unless the price and Hyundai service are very fantastic. I predict the sales volume should not more than 700 units per months... just slightly better than Kia Forte's monthly sales volume.. Elantra sure can beat more than 700 units per month, it's nice and will pawn Civic in the market race, anyway i didn't see any forum M'sia actively discuss about Civic 2012.
