u look at something bumped means u know everything. like tat hehe u can create your own phone and be richer than nokia and apple.

wat matters is the photo quality output!
*
actually i do agree on the fact that is has no camera cover, and it's a bad news...i tot camera phone should have a lens cover...after all, what's attracting me to this phone right now is the camera, if it's that exposed, i think it's not that wise...

Hmm... I wonder what will happen if Nokia faked those photos and videos  hmm.gif
*
to be honest, this aint the first time it cheats users with beautiful effects on promo videos...n97 for the recent example, watch the demo again, and hand on a unit, u will see that there are no such fancy theme effects on the actual n97...nokia been misleading, and some might call, cheating on consumers to get more sales...so, even if that's the case, i wont be surprised

and some ppl go on saying "whats important is the photo quality output bla bla" i would wanna see the godlike photo quality if u have heavily scratched lens

and dun come stating at me "owh u need to be more carefull thn",sometimes ppl tend to make mistakes
*
of course is user's responsibility to protect that also...some users can use 1 year and never gotten any scratch on their lens that's without cover one...don play play....

but i been thinking....i got LX-3 liao..still need such overkilling camera??

see la, if price is like N97 when launched, this phone might just success...anything more expensive then that might scare away most buyers...
and if it's below 2k, i might just buy it..haha

but need to see apps availability also...

and guys, arent we a little too focused on the camera? what about the OS itself...the apps support and all

It maybe possible thou , Technology is advancing each and everyday and moreover , remember the Nokia CEO or something said that 1 day cameraphones will replace DSLRs (That could be possible too. IMO)
*
eventually, maybe, but not even in this coming 10 years i think

camera now, even DSLR, u cant dump the ISO to a very high value without noise yet...
and phone camera now, due to it's packed camera, obviously could hardly even bump to what a DSLR call low value(800) that can have proper quality...
there are just too many factors on DSLR that cameraphone will not be replacing it in near future

There is a difference between a camera phone, DSLR and digital camera.

Phones camera are actually digital zoom means they only enlarge the picture not really go there.

Optical lens really goes nearer to the object. Most phones are still in digital zoom. For point and shoot N8 its a nice phone
*
ya....optical zoom for phones also...that long waited but yet to exist feature....

honestly with that price, i really gonna buy one

QUOTE(BuFung @ Apr 30 2010, 08:48 AM)

U will not want to store a whole dvd quality movie on the set to watch on ur TV...

I think their main point is u can watch the high quality captured video by the set itself.....
*
why not? nowadays storage quite cheap edi, and even internal flash memory is getting bigger and bigger...i don see a full DVD quality movie, or even series, will do much harm....after all, u can always delete after watching

@nakalboy: right now the we only know it's gonna be around Q3 this year, exact month and date, not sure..

should be within this 3 months...considering the fact that there's a leaked product like iphone 4G, the hardware itself is pretty much ready, i think they are waiting for the OS to complete

@bufung: a DVDrip is just 700MB, higher qualities one are 1.4GB or so, and 1 8GB memory card is ~RM70 last time i check...unlike last time u have to pay RM100++ for 8GB..
somemore the fact that it's gonna be 16GB built in...i dunno about other ppl, but my photo + music never occupy more then 3GB..so that 13GB i can still dump ~10 full length movies into it...it's the same way on ur PC also mah...i get the movie, finish watching, delete/burn out if u wanna keep...

plus...i didnt really say anything about watching it thru HDMI that often..maybe once in a while, but for me i know i'll be watching some past time tv-series/movies on the phone itself lo

err..i didnt even mention dobly stuff when i say watch movie mah...i was talking about storage all along..and u also mention DVD quality movie, not HD

to be honest, about that HD playback part, i agree with u that it just means can watch the video u captured urself, HDMI out, maybe, one is a while, for fun, i might use...but not for movie..maybe share with friends/family some of the video that i have captured using the phone..

well...according to spec paper...Samsung Omnia HD, can already handle HD playback with OMAP3430....although HD recording, the battery only lasted ~40 minutes...i guess with GPU it's possible for phones to do that too...

but yeah, selling gimmik indeed, although it may sounds cool, we don need it...somemore non removable battery, that's just cool... =_="
