lol...for this phone nokia just need to dump some effort in creating some games with the graphics of rally pro or even better, then this phone will sell like hot cake

there's no real promise there...from what i see so far, the UI is good, the effects are polished, and from various sites, the kernal is being enhance to be much more responsive...and if they enforce 3D acceleration, and allow some of the existing s60v5 device to upgrade to ^3, i guess it will be a very strong gaming platform by itself. and here comes the question, with nGage being abandoned, how will nokia market this phone on the gaming side, which i think will attract most of its targeted market, teenagers. also, how nokia markets this phone also affects how many developers actually willing to dump money to develop games on Symbian^3.

personally, between i'm still deciding between this and android, both are very great in potential, and android is way ahead of symbian in terms of applications and techs, for now...i guess i'll see what this phone would trully bring me

izit just me, or is there some obvious tearing issue on menu transitions and gallery....
unless they fix that, which i think they would, it's gonna be one of the things that ppl will never stop complaining about

i think it will not be detected/played if the res is above 720p

even if they could that phone would be laggy as hell...i don think that n97's weak processor and lacking of GPU can cope with their transition effects/gallery view and all...

maybe SE Vivaz or Samsung Omnia HD...if those were ported over...yum yum....

@aspire: u mean porting? i tot Omnia HD and Vivaz also would be easy, since they are also same..spec wise also very similar...

@bufung: what model is this...and seems like have a qwerty keyboard...

then with their flagship + proper marketting, and get more attractive + big game titles, iphone will be as good as dead...
the only thing that iphone attracts me is really the amount of nice graphic games they have...if symbian/android have a fair volume of such games, i see no reason to switch to that stupid 'smartphone'

what i mean by integration also is that it will let u see how many notification u have, like the current integration right now...the s60v5 integrated facebook app can see fb video a? cos n82 one cannot...and opera mobile also too heavy + not that optimized for non touch screens...

AMOLED sucks big time under direct sunlight, while super AMOLED was reported almost as good as indoor under the sun...i guess it's needed..especially when u use GPS on ur car often..my n82 also, if it's sunny, i have hard time seeing directions also
the improved contrast rate is more like a bonus

but what good would the extra pixel do? full HD is wonderful, but if the font is too small, everything will lost its point...
to me i think nHD and 800*480 would be good for a <4" screen

can u explain more in this? what do u mean not really 1Ghz?

Added on June 2, 2010, 12:59 pmi see what u are saying...u are saying the fonts and UI are also scaled up and look sharper...but...u gotta understand also, more pixel = more processing power when it comes to games, and video also might not look as nice since the extra pixels is screwing around with it...not to mention the extra work to scale up the video to the higher resolution...i would think that mobile phone should stop at 800*480...that should be cool enough..anything higher screensize and higher res i'd say put it into a tablet, not a phone...

different OS different feel mah....it's like comparing Ubuntu and Windows...
symbian more optimized for low spec phones, like nokia's stupid standard 434Mhz processor without GPU...that's why it's very fast on something that have 550Mhz and needless to say, a GPU..android in the other hand require higher specs, but they also provide more flexibility on apps and features also

at least it's slimmer then HTC Touch Pro...

as for DSLR..actually i bought LX-3 instead of an entry level DSLR also cos of size...LX-3 at least can throw into some bag or something...
and despite that, LX-3 also i bring when i go outing celebration with friends/events like PC Fair, or else i just rely on my n82..since it's kinda good enough already..n8 would be better, of coz

but i got complain about 5800...to be, that phone feel ultra plastic...

oh well....actually from the interview on GSMArena also it was mentioned that N8's main focus is the owning camera quality, not even video was prioritized, so i guess the speaker quality would only be so-so...just gimme some bass OMMH and i'll be fine...haha

of coz if speaker quality is same/better compared to 5800 would be best

haha...if want i still want perfect product la...but that one will never happen, there will always be some flaws...well, for me, honestly, if it has a qwerty, i don mind having some extra thickness..not like n82 is all slimmy anyway...

nokia said a lot of things...but most of them are craps...it's part of the marketting

same lo...like everywhere i go also cant find any demo unit to itchy hand one...
