Yes, it's like your PC. Basically, if the virtual memory is use more, then you phone will start to face some performance issue.

Sometimes, some process might have "hang" and hogging the processor or ram, best is to install the "System Info Widget" which allows you to monitor the processor and ram usage in percentage in your Desktop. You can also use "Conky" to view in details. If you know how you can manually kill the process or use HTOP app. Basically if you're using Windows, it's like killing monitoring and killing processes in the Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL).

For easier way, just restart the phone.

The DC-11 description/manual mentioned it can only fully charge a 900mah battery. So, it cannot fully charge the N900.

Source from the web mentioned that the DC-11 is packed with a 1500mah battery.

MY personal advice: Try NOT to drain the DC-11 battery completely. Let's say you know the DC-11 took about 2 hours before it run out of battery, try to stop using it earlier. It should be a Li-Ion or Li-Poly battery, so it's safer not to drain it completely, altough I think it should have some prevention in place (e.g. will not charge if the battery is below say 10%?). Just my personal advice to be safe.

DC-11 will turn off it self before run out of battery. So user no need to worry about it.

thanks all for your help! after i reflash, will all the application i installed includ the catalgue, widget all gone? issit like a fresh copy? or if i backĀ  up, then i restore back after reflash, wat thing wll be restore back?
*
it is supposedly to be able to restore everything back from the backup file you created.. which im pretty sure of, furthermore its the same firmware that you'd like to reflash, correct?

as for me did 1.1.1 > 1.2 leaked, i lost a couple of applications namely chromium and angry birds save file(cracked version). maybe that's because of different 1.2 build/codes/i could be wrong/whatever but the good thing is those who updated to 1.2 leaked version never complain of losing any apps at all. so maybe that's just me...

in a nutshell, 1.1.1 > 1.1.1 should be pretty safe.

Haha will do. Thus far the whole phone seems more responsive. To be honest it doesnt really stay at 800Mhz for long periods.

Haha nah no worries about that. Everything is backed up. To be honest it is stable. Seems like this is the same release that will be coming out soon enough by the looks of it. Maybe touch up here and there.

Nokia has put out an alert saying that the leaked PR is bricking phones although that's not the case. I wonder why? Maybe cause they dont want people to see that this might be the final version of it.

There is reason:
1. Still under testing
2. Claimed by some that the leaked version is old, there is already updates. However there's no source to back it up.
The HK firmware seems to be same version as the leaked version.
3. Some sites mentioned Nokia claims it may cause damage to the N900; not exactly sure how? Probably it mean data damage. But not sure if it's official Nokia statement, and if true, what about HK version?
4. Some owners claims after updating, there's problems with Conversations, not sure what happen to theirs; Mine is doing fine, or even better? Still can apply the customization as before.

Anyway, for anyone who cannot wait anymore, make sure you backup your data, and make sure the firmware source is from reliable source that those flash have no problems with that source.

Overall, current leaked PR1.2 isn't what expected and is disappointing, feels like minor updates instead. Hope the actual official will be a lot different. I mean, there's still sooo many things to be improved on the N900....

Recent interview from Nokia CEO posted in maemo-talk, it's even more disappointing; Seems there's still no plans to include contacts grouping, individual ringtone assignment and all those common phone functionality....

Is it really from Nokia? Or someone impersonate as Nokia? As I know from maemo-talk, some of the members are anti or against this leaked PR1.2

The HK N900 already release with PR1.2, as previous picture posted, it's the same version as the leaked. So, if there's really problem, why Nokia release in HK? I have no idea
Funny HK gets PR1.2 first, this is same scenario with Motorola Milestone... HK gets Android 2.1 first hand... while others have to wait weeks... Will this PR1.2 suffer the same?

Even for this leaked PR1.2, the built-in Facebook Chat plugin recently receives updates.

hmn... to be honest according to original ARM specs this processor can go up to 1Ghz, not sure why Nokia had this one set to 600Mhz. Maybe battery life concerns.
